I want to visit the RIAT this year but got stuck a little bit with organizing.
As I come over from FRA or VIE I will fly to LHR. I was thinking about getting a hotel around LHR from Friday on, catch a bus early in the morning on Saturday to the show (and get back to the hotel the same day after the show) and leave on Sunday evening.
So, my question: Are there any buses going straight from LHR to Fairford? If so, can anybody provide some links? The official website is not so helpful for people that arrive at LHR.
I would be also grateful about alternative plannings.

Don't think there are any early buses going from London, but if I recall correctly, there are a bunch of "official" shuttles from Swindon that bring you right to the show. Might want to think about spending Friday night at Swindon instead. Book early, because it *will* fill up!

Swindon is an option, yes. I was just spectulating that I can leave my bag in the hotel at LHR and only have my camera with me.
