Re: Rolls Royce engine transport to Airbus question

Engines going to Toulouse usually go by road. Occasionally there is a rush job and they go by air, typically in a chartered An-124 or Cargolux 747. Engines going to the USA usually go by air on the regular Cargolux flight from Prestwick - either to LAX or SEA, or ATL (for Charleston). Occasionally w...

Re: Norwegian Air Shuttle’s UK division denied interim flying permit from US DOT

I think its about time for the UK government to retaliate, and to heck with the air services agreement. United want an extra daily frequency LAX-LHR - we need to start saying No in return, until a legal / licenced UK airline is permitted rightful access to the US market.

easyJet would be naive not to start looking at some of the issues Brexit might create right now. I am sure there will be a negotiated agreement put in place to allow it to continue to fly between the UK and Europe. But as a UK airline its rights to fly - and even more so expand its network - of sole...

So how is it first class has been present on airplanes for far longer than the rise in air rage incidents? What should an airline with only four long-haul aircraft do when it sends one down-route and it goes bang? Crap happens sometimes, but a business model that has a backup waiting to recover a possible AOG for every active aircraft simply isn't sustainable - well not at fares passengers want to pay an...

Norwegian is not attempting to break the terms of the air services agreement - to that end, it should be allowed to fly as per the agreement, and any other issues the US has with the company (i.e. labour) should be dealt with through more appropriate channels. This isn't an issue that just affects t...
