Intersting thanks. So after ending their longstanding cargo flights during the first half of the '90s, they have had since two smaller short time attempts at dedicated cargo flights in the 2000s (World) and 2010s (CargoJet) before committing now to a larger dedicated fleet of their own.

For sure being able to offer 11 frames for potential takers is attractive. TZ got 9 of those all in 1985. Also the DC-10 fire at ORD did not help by wiping out ...
Jump to postA long time ago, during the mid-80s, TZ started to operate a pair of DC-10s but then switched to the L1011 that became their sole widebody aircraft until sometimes during the 2000s.

Have you heard the story about the Russians in Texas, who in spite of access to western media, still are strong supporters of Putin and the invasion of Ukraine? It’s not uncommon for Cargojet to take delivery of pre-conversion aircraft and store them for several weeks or longer in YHM while waiting for availability at the AMO. For example, XC-UJM (former Mexican Air Force One) has been parked on the ramp in YHM since October 2021 awaiting conversion. I’m n...
