somehow, JetBlue is still logging the same block hours as they did 3 years ago and NK is scheduling in for 15 to 20% additional block hours. I do wonder why JetBlue is just incapable of scheduling more flight times in. Look at B6’s main hubs… B6 can barely operate their current block hours reliably...

I always thought JFK-UIO made sense if they can get HD aircraft for that role. Maybe they are waiting for another pip or if they add a first class?

IIRC, there is no open skies between US and Ecuador. As such, there is a limit on the frequency that can be offered between the 2 countries.

Without insider sources, I don't think we will know for a while how committed they are to NEA. I think they may be okay with certain part of NEA downgraded to get NK merger through, but not the entire deal abandoned.

I would guess this is temporary for the London route. However, it also wouldn't be a surprise if they start flying to places like Manchester without hot meals in Y class. Same with LAX-HNL in the future.
