Re: Landing lights question

Was there noise or vibration with the lights on, or did things get smoother after they were turned off? The A320 series' folding landing lights stick out into the airflow and can produce noticeable effects above 250 knots. I think they also have a small fuel burn penalty. If not, then you may have ...

F-100 Super Sabres at Bozeman, MT

Flew out of Bozeman, MT yesterday and I drove over to the general aviation area as I had plenty of time before my flight departed. There were two former USAF F-100s parked at one of the facilities both painted in white and equipped with external fuel tanks. Just curious if the two F-100s are based a...

Landing lights question

The other night I flew from CLT to FLL on an AA A321 and I was seated on the left side immediately forward of the engine. The unusual thing is that the landing light stayed on all the way up to cruising altitude and then was shut off. Upon descent into FLL the landing light came on at a much lower a...

In FLL the Azul flight from Brazil would arrive at Terminal 4, be towed to a hardstand and then be towed to Terminal 3 for departure later in the evening.

Nowadays the flight still arrives at 4, is towed to the hardstand and then towed back to the same gate at 4 in the evening.
