G4 uses a ramp at XNA, despite there being unoccupied/unbranded gates with bridges readily available. I've heard mixed messages if this is a normal occurrence for G4 though...so I apologize in advance if this their M.O. for their smaller stations.

That isn't necessarily true, CVG-XNA/MKE/BNA were running for many years unprofitably, and were just now cut. Is DL flying anywhere 1x with CR1/2? IMT for example is 3x. Thats 150 seats. Why not just cut frequency to 2x and use E70? LAX-TUL was there before I'm pretty sure. According to old threads on here they flew it for 2-3 years in the very early 2000s on an MD80. Later this year, DL will introduce a third generation PTV system that’s basically a commercial tablet utilizing streaming IFE. Most of the aircraft with older generation PYV systems will likely be retired with them, but a few (like the 73G) May be retrofitted to the next generation system — if ones...

XNA from DFW has had mainline off and on. At one point, I believe they actually had two daily MD80s.


From what I can recall it's been years since anything has been regularly scheduled.

XNA-DFW is getting one A319 rotated through this summer on what is normally an all-RJ route.
