Re: Air Canada News And Discussion Thread - 2022

I guess this is in retaliation to DL bumping up the flights? Goodness knows the flights are packed to the gills. I just wish they would open up MEL. With the ongoing situation with QR and Airbus what are the chances of AC getting those QR 321s? I mean I'm almost certain that they will resolve the s...

Not sure where to post this question, but here seemed decently relevant. Simple Flying (I know) buried a potential fact in the linked article, stating Azul is getting an A350 from Singapore Airlines. Anyone have more info on that? https://simpleflying.com/hainan-airline ... -sale/amp/

That wouldn't stop it from passing. Feds can just order concessions. Plus that isn't enormous for large markets.

I agree SLC has pretty decent location for a hub - it certainly isn't bad. But, I think the major things holding it back is it isn't a huge city (ATL, DFW, etc.) / large city with outsized business presence (e.g., CLT with banking) and that DL has two coastal hubs (LAX and SEA) that siphon a lot of...

It's during peak season, but also a bit of a head scratcher. We know DL’s strategy is maximum efficiency and capacity. No, we really don't. If it were they wouldn't have been taking among the last 321ceos ever built - they would have been taking MAX9s or neos. A low enough price can trump operating efficiency when the difference is marginal. Agree on that.
