RE: US Airways A330 Route Question

yes, there are no A330 inter-hub flts, the biggest plane you will see on the inter-hub flts are the 767's, i think there is 1 from CLT-PHL and 1 or 2 from PIT-PHL

RE: Any New News On US Airways And Mid Atlantic?

very interesting to see that while wants to increase service from PHL-ORD and PHL-ATL, these flts are all operated by 733's and 734's, even the flts from PIT and CLT to ATL and ORD are mainly if not all flown by 733's and 734's. i wonder if it has to do with a point i made earlier about the maximum ...

from the sounds of the original post,it sounds like this express operation would really be serving some focus cities throughout FL's route network rather than ATL, such as PHL, BWI, MDW, and of course the florida destinations. hopefully PHL will see a lot of these flts, they have plenty of gate spac...

RE: It Appears Official Now, Delta 757's To Express

no offense, but Delta is and has operated a low-cost subsidiary, Delta Express. They are simply changing the aircraft on the routes to allow them to compete with the low-fare carriers of the Northeast better. Now personally i dont think its too smart to phase in the 732's into mainline service. But ...

yeah, there have been a lot of md-88's on the ATL-PHL route recently, hopefully within a couple of months we will see at least one 767 on the route. it was only 4 years ago, when delta had 3 767's a day at PHL, now all we have is 5 757's and the 738's and md-88's and maybe 1 or 2 727's

are you serious that Delta oversells some of their flts out of PHL. I wish that in the near future Delta will upgrade at least one flt to a 763. As for US's flts to ATL, i thought i remember reading something that a US 757 couldn't fit at the gates that US has at ATL and maybe not even a 320. When y...

It Appears Official Now, Delta 757's To Express

I know many rumors have gone around that Delta was going to phase out the 732's from the Express routes and send them to mainline, as the 757's are taken from the mainline and put on Express routes, but i never really read anything that someone was 100% sure. well US Airways added a flt to ATL and ORD from PHL, as part of their plan to increase service to big business destinations. I'm sure UA and AA kill US airways on the PHL-ORD route and Delta probably does a good job beating US on the PHL-ATL route

also you can't go critizing Amtrak for the Acela's. These types of problems probably arise everytime a brand new train is built. I'm sure over in Europe their were a few problems with the TGV and the Eurostar when they first were built.

first, are 757's allowed at DCA yet? I thought one of the reason's National backed out of its slots was because they were waiting so long for 757's to be allowed back at the airport. one of the reasons the terminal was built was probably to increase caribbean flts since those flts need to go through customs as well. As for US airways joining STAR, if they do i think PHL will see the most new airlines/flts come in with CLT only getting a few.
