Part of the business case will be the decision of where will the 797 be built. I think it's likely that Boeing is already engaged in talks for tax breaks, construction and land discounts, as well as job creation incentives with some strong non-disclosure agreements in place. That will be a huge dri...

Its obsolete in the sense that the A350-1000 can play the exact same role in a fleet, but at much lower cost.

The amount of infrastructure changes made at airports to accommodate higher wings and engines for something of this scale would be more than or the same as the Airbus A380. I can't imagine many airlines wanting to redesign hangars and maintenance areas for something like this anytime soon. YES, I u...
Jump to postI had a flight MSP-LAS flight number 711 (I believe many airlines have a 711 to LAS) and the flight was on NWA ship 711 (a B-727-200) on July the 11th. Probably a good day to play the craps tables.

How is that concept working for WOW and Iccelandair?

Typically on my flights from Japan to the US there was often a large fleet of Japanese fishing boats 600-800 miles off the coast. Hundreds of them following the schools of fish. I don't remember red and green lights but lots of white lights.

Is it just me, or are the engines on the 75's particularly prone to failure? Seems like DL has had a number of in-flight emergencies with its 757 engines. You have to wonder if DL is flying them a bit past their prime and should have ordered the A321s earlier. I had 4 year as a B757 Captain. One st...

I found it interesting for a couple of reasons. HPN going to all mainline to ATL is nice upgage and one less RJ to ATL. I flew DC-9-30s into NPN from DTW for years and the route did well. I'm sure ATL will too. FWIW "Let the Lion roar."
