It took me 45 minutes last week to go from the long term long to the split with the GCP... 30 minutes with the disaster that is the central terminal construction project... common man... you're a New Yorker, you know that's not realistic. Very best case with (0) traffic and an a-hole cab driver and ...

Re: 87 years old woman humiliated on a 13 hours flight

Folks... there has to be some middle ground. I've been flying for the airlines for 14 years and I've seen both sides of this. The likelyhood is most 90 minute taxis are slow, we don't even want the FAs calling us when you are in the toilet at that point. We get it... but don't be rude and form a lin...

As stated above that is the PTU. My airline and many others have elected a procedure to taxi with the yellow electric pump on during single engine taxi, this gets rid of the noise. Upon starting the second engine the pump comes off and the PTU engages, this is why you will always hear it on second e...

Are they applying for B737/A320 jobs? Airlines will certainly choose to promote their own pilots to widebodies, which is what EK pilots would have been flying. The demand for pilots at the big US carriers would be for the narrow-body fleets, I would imagine. That's not how this works. That's not ho...

Re: Jetblue A320 needs to stop for gas? (JFK-SJC)

Jetblue's a320s are not MTOW limited, it's a fuel volume issue. 42,200 lbs of jet a only gets you so far with strong head winds, requiring an occasional though infrequent fuel stop. The A321s have much higher fuel volume increases plus ACTs, so they rarely if ever need to stop. Are all JetBlue A320...

In the end, if you don't need the extra range, you won't order the A321NeoLR, because it will be more heavy, fuel penalty and will be more expensive, so why order it if you don't need it.
