I cant imagine that deicing is required too many times in a year. I would think that they could go a couple of years without having to deice a plane at PHX.

This is just me thinking logically. If I am at cruising altitude and had an engine failure due to a blade failure or some other easily identifiable reason that resulted in a shut down, I would be less concerned with the second engine would fail in the same way or in any way. I would weigh my options...
