What is going on with jetBlue at PDX...? Over the last year.......... PDX-LGB is down 1 frequency PDX-BOS starts later, ends earlier PDX-ANC starts later, ends earlier PDX-JFK is down to just 3-4x weekly for most of the year. They really don't like PDX... I'm assuming the two (or three) to which you are referring are JL, CX, and SQ. Unbelievable! Two highly competent pilots make a SAFE landing after a compressor stall (which isn’t necessarily calm, to put it lightly) and the first reaction of the internet armchair pilots on here is “Oh my God, he forgot to put the gear up”. Here’s a thought, if you weren’t there on the flight ...Jump to post
Would this be a good jab at TPAC route for AUS? :shakehead: As story indicates they are going for largely existing big Korea routes - LA, SF, Hawaii, YVR, Australia, not some long thin random route to Austin. ¿B787-10 and A350 in the future fleet? As best I can see, the 787 order has not yet been finalised. It's not on the Boeing O&D page yet. Cancel the 787s and fly A350s? Now, THAT would be an upset. Huge! Going for round 3 on the A350. This could be bad news for the 787. Worse for the A380. What ...Jump to post
AS is showing Airbus equipment for the Boston-San Diego route in August. Is this just a placeholder? Odd to see any Airbii for transcon from SAN. The second summer seasonal PDX-BOS flight will be on the A320 as well. SAN-MSP goes from the E175 to the A320, and SAN-AUS goes from the E175 to the 737....Jump to post
Honestly, credit to them. It may seem like a basket case but deploying to where they will make money as fast as possible and get cash flow running is good and being nimble and cutting things before they can accumulate losses is also a smart move. I think they will be back eventually and should work...Jump to post

I don't think think AS will be announcing anything. They're in a "slow growth mode" at the moment, and WN isn't very realistic either. Also the announcement is at 4:30 PM, and AS always does their new route announcements in the very early morning. It'll probably be a smaller airline like C...Jump to post
I've experienced this before with AA (Eagle) at the LAX remote terminal. I'm sure this happens a lot at...Jump to post

In terms of DTW having "a lack of options in the low cost end of the spectrum all across the board", doesn't NK have a strong presence at DTW? No, Detroit doesn't have a home-town ULCC airline like MSP does with SY, but NK does fly to many popular destinations from DTW, and has very likely...Jump to post
Does anybody know which airline/officials DTW/WCAA is meeting with at Route America 2019 in Quebec City this February? I've seen quite a few times on this thread that the CDG-IND leg has significantly higher LF% than the IND-CDG leg. Why is that? It looks like there is also a lot more cargo on the CDG-IND leg as well.
I would think that the point of sale would be better from IND than from CDG.
I definitely agree - D is dark and and practically had nothing past Burgerville. YYC-PDX should do well in the summer. There is enough weirdness in PDX to make the flight work for WS. Maybe they can make it work year-round as it shouldn't be too hard to fill a Q400. Well, HA has a LGB-HNL flight now, which covers it for B6. Where else could B6 fly to Hawaii from? LAX-Hawaii is way too saturated already. I think the main reason is that JetBlue is not very popular on the west coast. LGB is their only hub/focus city there. Airlines like AS dominate the west coast,...Jump to post

Westjet adding PDX-YYC is interesting. I guess they'll use D2 along with AC. Maybe D1 as a common use gate?
