Just read on Twitter that Maurice Quintal, FO of the famous Gimli Glider, has passed away. I have searched online but cannot find anything to confirm this. Does anyone have any news on this? Certainly very sad if it is true. The story of C-GAUN has always been one of my favourite aviation stories.

Jump to postI certainly don't purport to be an expert but from what little knowledge I do have I think this is a blacktip shark, not to e confused with the blacktip reef shark. The dark edge of the dorsal fin gave it away for me. And they are common around the globe in tropical and sub-tropical waters.
