Re: Australian Aviation Thread - July 2022

Can anyone see why FJ931 from Nadi to Melbourne diverted to Adelaide yesterday? It looks as though the flight went to land into Melbourne and then aborted and flew in the direction of Sydney before diverting to Adelaide. Hoping the link below works! https://www.flightradar24.com/data/flights/fj931#2...

If I recall, EY was underperforming at BNE in the 6-9 months prior to the pandemic hitting its height, so not really a surprise considering EY were also undergoing their own bankruptcy restructuring to fix up Hogan's mess. On the other hand, it would also strengthen QR's case to serve BNE on a full...

RE: What Is Your Primary Credit Card For Daily Use?

I have one credit card, ANZ Qantas Frequent Flyer, with both an American Express and Visa card, with the former having a higher points earn.

I usually use the card for all purchases unless the merchant doesn't take card under $10 for example, which some smaller cafes/stores still have, annoyingly.

I stayed at Best Western hotels in both cities and they both were reasonably priced. I can confirm that Qantas have pushed back the departure time of QF9 from Melbourne to London via Dubai to a 7.15pm departure, arriving in London at 10am the next day. I have been affected by this change, and am happy that I now won't have to arrive in London at the ghastly hour of 5.30am.
