Re: United Airlines Fleet Discussion - 2024

Same here, on a recent trip 2 different 752s both said they had Channel 9 in the AVOD menu, but I couldn't get it to work on either of them. Had a 737 MAX 9 last year which had the same issue. I was disappointed because I've been a lifelong UA flier and I used to love tuning in to hear the cockpit ...

Re: United Overstaffed due to Boeing Delays; To Offer Voluntary Program

Nobody is separating. It's a month-by-month reduction, but pilots will remain current and qualified. It is pretty much what we did during COVID, offering reduced credit per month to not fly, as well as a few empty lines (no schedule, but able to pick up open time if desired). So far, only about 25 o...

Re: United 737 off runway at IAH

The 737 has small nosewheel tires and is terrible in turns if the surface is even the least bit slick. I agree, bad timing, but it seems to be a simple case of attempting to make a turn at too high a speed. When I upgraded on the 737, one of the first things the LCA mentioned was to take any turn ve...

If you assume each route corresponds to the type of plane depicted in the video, it looks like one longhaul (787) and a couple shorthaul (737) international routes.

Thankfully we won't have to wait long to find out.
