Re: What's Going In CLE - 2018

Saw during the Brown's game that the Chargers will be staying in Cleveland this week, and fly out to their London game from here. So I suppose we should be on the lookout for another VS widebody in town on Wednesday or Thursday. They used an A346 for the Seahawks and Raiders this week, so I imagine...

With 4 CR9 on Delta and 2 ER140s on AA, I suspect this is all the capacity we will be seeing to JFK for a while. As an aside, DL has more frequencies to JFK that most other comparable markets including PIT (3), IND (3), CMH (3), CVG (1). Even Detroit has same number of flights, only one of which is...

What's the schedule for 77W PE retrofit? Seems odd that UA takes one a/c out for a two week period at random times vs. one dedicated line. Perhaps we'll see one dedicated line when the last 77W arrives. Any idea if arrival is Oct/Nov/Dec?

Everyone's right. With 70+ 77A/E's, UA needs both the 40 359's they ordered and some mix of the 789/78J also. 40 359's for TPAC/India primarily which are needed later (aka why they delayed them) as many PMCO units are newer. 14 78J's for sure coming online. Then, 20++ 789/78J' for TATL routes (FRA/M...

Re: United Fleet Upgrade Status - 2018

I agree that I don't think the 77A on the transcons is ideal. From what I remember, they only started putting that plane on the former p.s. routes when they made BOS-SFO all lie flats and they didn't have enough 752s to cover all the routes. I recall this being the case also. With the MOM no where ...

There were rumors of a 78J top off order for 10-11 units, but that never materialized. Since that rumor, we've had 4x 789 (plus the the HA 763's to replace 7 retiring 763's) and now 9 x 789's. Any idea what "older" aircraft they will be replacing?
