Re: Nikon D800E with 500mm f/4 or D500 with 300mm f/2.8 and maybe with TC ?

I use the 70-200 + 1.7X Tele Converter on a D7100 and it works well. I also use a 200-500mm f5.6 on a D800 with equally good results. The 200-500mm f5.6 is an excellent lens for the price (about $1400 in the US) and will work with both the DX and FX bodies. The lenses you refer to are expensive gla...

Re: Nikon D800E with 500mm f/4 or D500 with 300mm f/2.8 and maybe with TC ?

Thanks a lot for your help !! I have a question which although I read a lot of reviews and articles, I'm still without a proper answer. Does FX cameras produce better image quality in normal situations(decent light etc) ? because one reason I'm considering switching to FX is because of the perceptio...

Nikon D800E with 500mm f/4 or D500 with 300mm f/2.8 and maybe with TC ?

Currently I'm facing one of the biggest decisions in my life. At the moment I own the new Nikon 70 200mmE FL f/2.8. And what a gem of a lens it is !! But unfortunately it's a bit on the short side when shooting small aircrafts and fighters(my main interest). So I need a longer lens with the same qua...

I was considering the 16 85 but I've read mixed reviews about. What is your experience regarding its focus speed? Rhe sigma aperture is a bit tempting but as you said sigma is hit or miss.

A Good Lens For Static And Very Close Flying.

Hi, I need a lens for static and very close flying aircraft. I was considering the new Sigma 17 70mm f2.8-4 but I'm not sure about its performance, mainly focusing speed and sharpness all across its focal length and also vignetting. I was also considering the Nikon (as I own Nikon) 24 85 but it lack...

At last Nikon seems to get the ball rolling and very fast. With the introduction of the Nikon 70 200 f4, D7100 and 80 400, once again they became the leading photographic equipment company. I'm sure that immediately Canon will respond with some new equipment.

Thanks a lot !! The D7100 and the new 80 400 seems to be a great combination. I'm using it on a D7000. Wish to upgrade to the D7100 but right now I'm financially restrained. I was tempting to switch to Nikon because of their 100 400 but was always hoping for the Nikon upgrade and finally it's here. ...

Nikon D7000 Sigma 150-500 Or Canon 50D W 100 400

I'm about to upgrade my equipment. I've bought the nikon 300mm f4 with 1.4tc but I'm missing the zoom and the autofocus is very bad with the tc on. I'm not sure whether to but the Nikon D7000 with Sigma 150 500 or go for the canon 50D with the 100 400.
