I have the dubious distinction of having flown on the last A340 ever built. The plane was Iberia's EC-LFS, "Ciudad de México".
Love every iteration of the 340.

Don’t forget that EC261 will get you cash refund if flying inside 2wks of the flight cancelation by the airline I think that with the difficulties airlines are facing due to the Covid-19 and restrictions imposed by governments, EC261 is the least of their worries. I flew the B772 LHR HND last year. It was subbed for a B77W! I was a bit annoyed as I was looking forward to flying a newer a/c. It was very dated on the inside, but once I settled in I had a great flight. The IFE was ok, and I even managed an hour or two sleep.
