I think it’s interesting how F9 is announcing these routes. They announced 50+ routes on 1/23. 14 routes announced from DFW on 1/24. PHL got 10 routes on 2/7. True. Eagle was big at BNA with over 150 flights towards the end. FYI - Southwest is scheduled to operate 160 flights from BNA this Sunday.

I was told that it is a Satellite Base and I see that’s what it is called in their presentation. I asked what that meant and they said it’s a fake base. There is no crew room. No computer even. Can anyone shed light on what a satellite base is?

I’m not sure of the timeline. I know 2 additional checkpoint lanes open on the south side by the end of this month. 2 more lanes will open by August I believe. The airport wants 24 lanes when the plan is all realized in 5 years. The airport currently has 10 lanes and going to 12 in a couple weeks.

I’ve heard yes and no on the widening of B. It’s in the plan but I’ve also heard they’ve shelved that plan. Either way it’s going to be up to 5 years. It just seems like it’s going to be a poor customer experience at the end of B in the meantime.

BA signage did not go up at the counter or gate last night but they do have computers installed. The airport has put up the BA directional signs to B concourse. And not only are most of the 21 cities simply a resumption of service but not all are starting at the same time. It's a phased in approach. It's a way for them to make a big splash. I believe only 8 of the 'new' are now available for booking. I have no doubt that F9 knows exactly what they are doing.

The route map is updated with all spokes. I'm seeing new cities - ABQ, PSP, ONT, SJC, RNO, OKC, BUF & GRR. There's a lot of connecting the dots. Click on SJU for example to see all of its new service.

I'm not sure where BA would find ticket counter space at BNA. I guess they could share AA's counter and gate but this will not be an issue once the airport expansion a.k.a. BNA Vision happens in the next few years.
