Thomas Cook Scandinavia (DK) has 3 A330-300s that during the Summer, more or less shuttles between Scandinavia (mainly CPH, ARN, OSL) and the Mediterranean/Canary Island. At least from OSL, during the high Summer season (Jun-Aug) they have about 10x weekly flights with the A330 places in Greece, Cyp...Jump to post
Quick question: If RR delays continued, could Airbus add another engine supplier like GE or PW to the options like with the previous A330 series? Surely they wouldn't need a whole new engine. Possibly a modified GEnx or something? The quick answer to that is no. With RR, the delay is still in terms...Jump to post

I think that this will just be temporary for some time. By the end of the year I think they'll be profitable again(not saying that i'm right with my opinion on the matter). Looking at the last four quarters in total they aren profitable. But that doesn't mean they don't have issues. The ...Jump to post
Norwegian released it's Q1 2017 result this morning. Loss increased with 86% from -800 million to -1,491.5 million NOK. It's about 175million dollar loss in just Three months. To me it seems like they are struggeling a lot to fill up the planes with this huge expansion they are doing. / The loads a...Jump to post
OSL-SEA will be great! I know a lot of people have missed the SAS CPH-SEA flights. The frequency looks like 3/weekly going west, and 4/weekly going east. Start seems to be 18th of September this year. Congrats OSL! I'm so happy to see that OSL continues to get more and more TATL flights. Where did ...Jump to post

SAS has purchased the single leased ex-LAN Chile A340-300 (LN-RKP) from Gain Leasing Two LLC. This is the same aircraft that lost cabin pressure and had to divert to Goose Bay earlier this month. The question remains if they will upgrade the interior of this aircraft, since it's the only aircraft i...Jump to post

In what way? Current J46 /W43 / Y208 and the new J32 /W42 /Y262 I did not know about this 2nd configuration. Good to know. Also, I assume it will retain the same 1-2-1 J? The A350-900 is a wonderfully versatile aircraft as far as both range flexibility and capacity flexibility is concerned. I can't...Jump to post
My point with the 343s are just that they are paid for but contains very little residual value and are quite heavy in maintenance cost compared to a similarly aged 332. The 332 would be a cheap addition compared to a new plane and since they have 330s already this will be quite easy/cheap to integr...Jump to post
Some things to consider, and much the reason why SAS retains the current composition of their fleet. Historically OSL and ARN only had 737 maintenance and Pilot base which means that this will have to be changed if/when they weigh in new fleet additions. All of SAS Airbus fleet is maintained and ba...Jump to post
Yes, that's true. LHR, CDG, and FRA fill business seats but what about ARN CPH OSL and FCO? Out of interest, why did Norwegian choose to operate from LGW over STN? Historically, STN has always been the 'low-cost' airport - I'm guessing because it's cheaper to operate from there than LGW, plus there are probably more slots available. That's not to say that other low cost airlines need to f...Jump to post
Surprised it was not MAN instead of a London airport, considering how much demand there is for it in SEA, and especially for carrier that does mostly point to point. And Oslo would be a natural fit, too..... We would probably see more flights to these two destinastions from Norwegian in the future,...Jump to post
FCO is an odd choice given they have only a handful of destinations there. Unless they just want to piss off Alitalia and (specially) Vueling. Probably better to start at a smaller base to get things up and running Who will they interlining with? Thay have confirmed they are in talks with Norwegian...Jump to post

http://www.bbc.com/news/business-38653546 There has been a structural change in the sea freight market.
