For transatlantic crossing you now got more options since Norwegian is also doing this. However I figure it'll be hard to find connecting 737s at the small airports they serve in the USA. Fuel alone isn't the only issue, crew is as well. Both in terms of cost per seat, bit also actually getting a crew to fly them (in the US)

Ryanair is starting 2x weekly Poznan-Billund and Poznan-Sandefjord/Torp next winter.

Previously they flew to RYG from POZ, so it means more or less the route is moved to TRF farer a little break

One thing is the frame (and wings) needed, but there is as well a question of available or potential engines. Right now there is no suitable engines on the market and a rather large fuel savings is probably wanted

Unlike the other US routes to EDI and DUB, Norwegian is offering a limited range of connections via BGO. I can find connection on sale on their website from SWF via BGO to BCN, CPH, PMI, OSL, KEF, SVG, ARN and TRD.

More might be added later, but is what I currently can find

I'm surprised they're planning on using their own brand. Up until now I had expected them to establish something similar to what they did with Spanair. Norwegian's 737Max's have a significant amount of time where nothing is scheduled, would be hard to imagine they don't schedule some additional within Europe between the morning arrival and mid-afternoon departures to/from the US. Will be interesting to watch and see if EI/IAG react with new routes...

Norwegian will transfer OSL-EDI to their new EDI-base from Oct 29. At the same time frequencies will increase from 3x to 4x weekly, and as EDI is a 737-8MAX base, it will be operated be these aircraft.
