Thank you all for your comments. Of course I assumed it is legal, but found this very surprising. And to answer some questions : the exit row I was seated in is really No15 as I said. The aircraft I was on was registered VN-A329 in VN livery. So the seatmaps are wrong but that doesn’t really matter....
