Re: How To Add AI Traffic: My Tutorial

You can keep the traffic slider set to 100% but using an AFCAD editor set one of the gates to not have any airlines assigned to it. When you land the airport will be full but you'll have a parking spot!

Re: Ground - Air Photography with a 2x Teleconverter @f/11

The reason why you were able to take shots at f/11 without the teleconverter is because the lens was set to its biggest aperture before you took the shot. Without the teleconverter at 300mm and f/11 dialed in on the LCD on your D60 the lens is actually at f/5.6 before you press the shutter and when ...

Re: Contrail shots

In bright conditions ISO 100 and f/8 should be possible but if there's not as much light then you'll want to bump up the ISO a little and/or use a bigger aperture. A teleconverter is totally worth it but with that lens you'll most likely lose autofocus. A 1.4x teleconverter will give you a 420mm f/8...

Priority Screening Question

Hi,

I have a shot from inside the A concourse at KTUL and I'm wondering if this qualifies for priority screening since there are no other shots from inside the airport? This shot would be the only shot showing the inside of the airport in the database.

Thanks!

Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS) Spotting Terrace

Hi,

I will be transiting through AMS from BOM-AMS-DTW-TUL and I'm wondering if I can access the spotting terrace? From what I've read people usually access the spotting terrace before checking in but I'm curious to know how I would access it as a transiting pax?

Thank you!

Re: Photographing Aircraft at height (contrails/vapor trails)

I'd definitely recommend a crop sensor over full frame for the purpose of getting more reach with whatever lens you use. With Canon you get a 1.6x crop on a lot of different bodies (EOS 80D included) and with Nikon a 1.5x crop. To get the aircraft to fill the frame you'd need a huge lens of 2000mm+ ...

I played around on Lufthansa's website and FRA-DOH throws an error in November yet FRA-KWI works so it seems that the KWI-DOH-KWI tag is being dropped and FRA-KWI-FRA stays.
