I am a single male. I have no horse in the race in terms of this case.

But I do not think any government has the right to tell a woman what she can or cannot do with her body.

Abortion should be a choice between a woman and her doctor.

So…I work for a railroad. I’m glad to see masks optional, but what I think should be done now is that in order to book a ticket, get an e-ticket/boarding pass, the passenger acknowledges that masks are recommended but not required, that they acknowledge the possibility that they could contract COVID...

Rail would be very difficult to getting to Alaska. Let’s forget the terrain and borders. You’d have trains traversing long stretches of nothing, and locomotive engineers and conductors do have a maximum number of hours they can work. It’s not like there are a lot of options for places to swap crews ...

In my experience, the book is always better. Flight of the Intruder, The Hunt for Red October…much better books than movies.

In my field, some agencies do a four day week. I couldn’t. Eight hours with voluntary or mandatory OT is enough.

Just a quick update. I’m working...a job that I totally hate...no positive aspect to it. I still give it my all. I’m as depressed as ever and couldn’t have a worse outlook on life. I’m smoking a lot more, drinking more, and feeling more alone and isolated than ever.

Is the one in Philly still around? They did an experiment a decade back on foot patrol, but I am not sure whether that is still ongoing. On a related note, a number of PD in US has Mounted Patrol. Houston, Dallas, and Austin has them for sure. I think the one here in Philly still exists in Center C...
