If he took a picture of someone else's boarding pass on that flight (presumably boarded ahead of that person with their boarding pass) would there have not been an issue when that person whose boarding pass he used tried to board? No,that didn't. The plane was depressurized. The rear door on a 727 opens inward. If pressurized, nobody would have been able to open it. I believe D. B. Cooper told them to fly low the entire time. Interesting idea but if the parts / maintenance issue for such a small number of planes could be overcome for a freighter then it could be overcome for the pax version, too, and Hawaiian wouldn't be looking for something to replace their 717s.

Using the GE measuring tool, the taxi line from the runway edge line to the hold bars is close to 450ft long. That's over twice the length of a 777-200. While Icelandair still flies 757s to PDX, several months ago I saw a Max parked at a PDX overnight spot. Being about 100 miles further than KEF - SEA, that would put KEF - PDX near the top of the list.
