I think that the blue on the swoop doesn't fit well with the whole livery. I wished they used the blue on the engines for the swoop, it would have looked more cohesive.

One thing to keep in mind is that UA is also sending passengers through Zurich, Brussels, and Vienna for connections so you should take those factors into account.

But IAH-KWI/BAH on a UA 789 wouldn't be beyond the realms of possibility I feel. I doubt it right now. When the flight was operated from Dulles, loads were abysmal, and while they might be able to fill more of the plane from IAH, I bet that LH serves the market well and the frame can be used better...

There's a big difference between United's largest regional jet and their smallest mainline aircraft. It hasn't seemed to bother them. Why do you see this as an issue for UA but not AA? AA's 789 seats more than their 772, 285 vs, 273, both in the config with premium economy. I do see thi as an issue...

According to the fleet site, 3909 is a -8. United.com also shows a -8 operating the route, and according to the seatmap (should be pretty clear of passenger load after flight is closed) shows a full J load, and some open Y seats.

Weird. United.com also shows an 788 operating the flight. Also looks like the flight had normal loads, full J cabin and somewhat full Y cabin.
