What the heck is going on with Air Tahiti Nui flight THT8?

It’s been flying for 19 hours 40 mins and is just passed over London Heathrow and flown over N America when it’s supposed to be headed to LAX. Can a 789 even fly for that long?

I think it has something to do with the fact that it’s cheaper to register an aircraft in Ireland, hence why Norwegian has EI- registered aircraft.

Flying LHR-PER-HBA is a good option (only 2 flights) and the you can drive to Launceston in about 2-3 hours up the midland highway. The only thing to watch out for is the number of major roadworks...

Or you could stay on QF10 until it gets to Melbourne and fly with QantasLink direct to LST

I would do Hobart (YMHB).

There are currently: 7x Skycranes on the mainland (one crashed yesterday) and there are also 2x EC-130 Hercules, and Avro RJ and the Coulson 737-300 firebombers in Hobart.

Any updates on any aircraft to do with the fires would be great.

When I was flying on AirAsia between Penang and Kota Kinabalu last year, I was stuck with THREE screaming children around me for the whole flight, combined with the fact my earbuds were in my checked-in bags.

The only positive was I got myself one of those really good 1:200 A330 models

I don’t really know about getting let in mid-flight, but I brought myself a nice 1:200 scale Virgin Australia 77W before I left and decided to put it together on the plane.

The FA saw me putting it together and asked if I would like to come up to the cockpit after the landing.....
