I agree with Mikhail re. the motive rejection for the AC B787. The aircraft is also not centered properly. Better to center between the two engines. Also looks like there is room at the bottom of the frame to lower the placement and thereby include the entire tail. QR A350: The overhead lighting is ...Jump to post
TAP A330: Looks underexposed, over-sharpened and noisy, The overall quality is lacking IMO. Norwegian B737: Looks blurry with over-sharpened areas. Also looks noisy. There are a few objects in the sky, birds, perhaps. Best to remove themt since they cannot be identified. Jet Time B737: Needs CW rota...Jump to post
My thoughts: EmiratesA380: Looks soft. Noise is visible as well. For this kind of condition, it could use some additional exposure and contrast. In its current condition, I say it will draw a rejection, EZ Jet A320:Tail section is bit soft. I think if you fix that and boost the contrast a bit it wou...Jump to post
Distance means that the main subject needs to be cropped closer. For this and other rejection reasons, please see the following: https://www.airliners.net/faq/photo_acceptance_guide/
Personal Message means that the screener left a message/comment re the rejections.
I would use the fastest shutter speed possible to avoid any kind of camera shake, which is one cause of blur. Another cause of blur could be the sharpness characteristics of the lens itself. The 3rd issue would be a focusing issue. If you have an alternate lens, you might see if the image quality is...Jump to post
The Allegiant looks to me like it could use more contrast. Not the best lighting, but some added contrast might help.
DL 965AT looks blurry in the nose area.
DL995AT: Again not the best of lighting. I think a boost to the exposure and contrast would help.
#1. Agree with Crosswindphoto's comments re. the crop. Better to crop right behind the engine. Also mage is over exposed and needs more contrast.
#2. Lighting is indeed harsh. Image could do with reduced brightness and increased contrast. Looks soft. Also looks low in the frame.
Hey there Arnold,
The image is underexposed and also has a blue/green color cast. Main titles look a tad blurry to me as well...
fsx98 wrote:The Turkish does show some magenta cast on the rear of the aircraft; also overexposed in the same area.
The British 777 could be higher in frame; could lighten up shadows a little bit in the lower fuselage.
The Lufthansa A320 could use some extra kick in exposure.
Citation: Mildly over sharpened: jaggies visible in tail section, but should be OK
Cargo Jet: I don't like the clipped horizontal stabilizer on the right side.Would likely draw a motive rejection. Can you give it a wider crop to include the entire stabilizer?
Also, clean your sensor :) Jehan Sometimes small birds appear to be like spots. Cleaning the sensor won't help there! I agree that small birds and other items in the actual outside environment require some post processing. However, the OP specifically refers to dust spots which are small/mid size f...Jump to post
First off all, congratulations! Always nice when your work is sought after! Nothing wrong at all in asking for consideration (monetary or other). My thinking is that a company like Boeing is using it to ultimately generate revenues for themselves. They should be willing to pay for it. Whether you ma...Jump to post
Knowing someone at the airport or airline, or building a relationship with the right folks helps...at least that's what I've done. Takes time though. the PR department at the airport is a good place to start.
My thoughts: The F35 looks blurry and the aircraft is left in the frame. Unless there is a compelling reason, it should be centered. Image could also use some contrast. This would not make it past the screeners, IMO. Tinker Bell looks over sharpened. Jaggeis are visible along the edge of the fuselag...Jump to post
Hey Jehan, did you happen to screen this photo earlier? :) https://imgproc.airliners.net/photos/airliners/1/7/3/5481371.jpg?v=v4e3326c79ec Rejected for Underexposed, PM Just fixed it and re-uploaded, how does it look now? https://imgproc.airliners.net/photos/airliners/7/6/7/5493767.jpg?v=v46b99f1ab...Jump to post
Delta 717: Very harsh lighting together with a magenta color cast. Also the buildings in the background are leaning to the right. Looks blurry too. I do not recommend uploading it. AC B777: Underexposed due to back lighting. The crop is quite unsuitable as well (rear quarter of the aircraft is cut o...Jump to post
Hi Stefan, The building definitely adds some drama to the composition. For me, though the building is somewhat unsightly (apologies to the owners) and also slightly out of focus...and therefore distracting. IMO, to be part of the composition, I would want the building to at least be in focus. Unrela...Jump to post
