Runway widening work at LBE could start in Sept. Regarding funding: " Progress on the project depends on the Federal Aviation Administration approving 95% of the funding, a key factor that should be known by next month, according to Kunselman. The authority will cover the remaining 5%. " ...Jump to post
The Omni 762 departed for Langley AFB, Tidewater VA. https://flightaware.com/live/flight/OAE320/history/20190616/0115Z/KPIT/KLFI Does it seem like the military related charters have increased significantly since the C-17s arrived? The National B744 is now scheduled to depart for Frankfurt-Hahn at 0100, where the Atlas Air B763 from last Friday also went. https://www.flightradar24.com/data/flights/N8812 National parked in Qatar’s spot next to UPS after it landed. I wonder where QR had to park after arriving from ORD tonight.....Jump to post
What an awesome sight, TK fliers are lucky we get variety. When and how often will this aircraft fly IST-AYT? It would be awesome if G4 and NK came here to BFM. Have some doubt about G4 though since they serve GPT, but if they did it would need to be on different days than GPT as they are Wed and Sat only. Could definitely see NK since the closest airport they serve is MSY. Personally id love to see Southw...Jump to post
I always assumed non-Star airlines would be moving en mass to PKX leaving PEK to be nearly all Star. This comes as no surprise but its interesting that CZ won't be operating any flights to PEK from it's other China hubs. I think China Eastern and will split their ops, but CZ have a different strate...Jump to post
So AA is bringing PIT-PHX back up to 2x daily A319s in September, which I kinda expected. So I imagine this cut was made due to the MAX grounding. Also, PIT-PHL goes down to 5x daily but will see more A319 flying. PIT-DFW will also stay at 4x daily in February rather than 3x daily. No way AA was go...Jump to post

Has there been any word recently on further charter flights with Caissa Touristic, either with China Eastern or someone else? This project is probably dead in the water unless we hear something in the next couple weeks. Haven’t heard anything about China charters this year. They would be advertisin...Jump to post
Demand on PIT-MSP is not very high. It’s mostly connecting traffic with little O&D. DL appears to have downgraded mainline to seasonal on this route. It was all-CRJ9 from late December-late March and the schedule for next winter shows the same story. I believe NK hinted at PIT-MSP in the past, ...Jump to post

Currently in mainland China a total of 64 B77Ws are operating ie 28 for CA, 20 for MU and 16 for CZ each respectively. Majority of these 64 B77Ws are less than 10 years old so I doubt that they will all be replaced with this order for B779s. At the very most I expect an order for 30 B779s with the ...Jump to post
A300 gone A330 replaced by 787s A380s gone in 10 years A220 brand new A321 will probably be transferred to a LCC that Korean Air owns What's your point? They have and they are operating Airbus aircraft and also have them on order. So the notion that they won't buy anything but Boeing has been shown...Jump to post

Make no mistake losing PIT-CDG and a Skyteam connection to Europe was a huge loss for PIT. The connections at CDG were far more numerous than what BA can offer with their sub-optimally timed PIT-LHR flight. I still wish DL would have stuck it out with 5x weekly 757s, especially with the loss of WW....Jump to post
Anyone know the aircraft type? https://flightaware.com/live/flight/RCH340/history/20190530/1809Z/KNCL/KPIT C-17 from the 911th Airlift Wing. GSP psgr wrote:I've always thought a DL 752 on CLE-AMS/CDG would make a vast amount of sense, like what Delta has done with PIT and IND. DL's in somewhat of a transatlantic capacity crunch right now, though.
DTW takes care of the northwest side of the state. PIT takes care of the eastern side of the state. IND takes care of the western state. CVG takes care of the southern state. All those cities are easily accessible with a three hour or less drive. No need for transatlantic service from any where in O...Jump to post
Does anybody know anything about the Avianca Brazil 320 that just landed at GYR? Registered PR-OBB, coming in from TUS and previously PTY. I find it odd that the renderings show a multistory building. That usually leads to inefficiencies...but I'm sure that they've studied it. That's why the first auto assembly plants were multistory and all the newer ones are on one level. Cathay Pacific Cargo’s terminal @ HKG is multiple levels but ...Jump to post

For clarification, it's essentially moving it's Ops from TPA to LAL, of which TPA already has pretty substantial Amazon Air Ops and can't support the growth (space) wise going forward. And if you're familiar with geography, LAL is literally smack in the middle of Orlando and Tampa metro's and their...Jump to post

The official ground breaking for the Amazon Air hub at CVG was today. I looked around for renderings but could only find this short video on Twitter. https://twitter.com/davehclark/status/1128416809986641920?s=09 It makes DHL's facility look small. Why is Emirates still flying a B777 into ORD? Why Chicago isn't an A380 service by now?
