Unless DL are slowly building a LAS focus city, this is clearly slot squatting as it’s about a short a hop as you can get that will still attract a half decent number of pax. Btw, F9 extended their schedule recently and it appears they are moving the IND-LAS to depart at 11:14 PM! Which seems incredibly late....it could be that the gate might be needed during other times of the day. IND got very lucky in TATL service, as they seemed to have missed out on the wave of TAT...

This is a long flight by G4's standards so I am curious as to what kind of demand there is between the two areas as I don't really see a connection between Denver and Asheville....

I would guess Frontier to DEN, LAS and possibly SAN and PHX. This screams F9... but I don't see why they'd serve anything other than DEN seeing as they only do that from BZN and MSO as is. Interestingly, when you go on the F9 site and try to book a flight out of BOS, only 4 destinations are searchable and only RDU is bookable. (RDU, MCO, DEN, and RNO). Do the latter two suggest they’re going to finally add DEN-BOS at some point (perhaps it’s not loaded yet) as well?

Isn't the $5.60 fee we pay literally for the TSA and passenger screening? I'm sure there's some reason here, but it makes me scratch my head why these folks aren't getting paid when the security fees still are.

The problem with the Canada notion is that YYC doesn’t appear to be working that great for F9 - LAS already cut and DEN going to 1x weekly and 2x in the summer... which, doesn’t even make a lot of sense to even serve during the winter at 1x a week seeing as YYC isn’t going to serve as a place people...

Also just noticed... IAD-SEA going to 2x on AS. Hopefully this will finally be a viable alternative to the (ludicrously priced) DCA-SEA morning flight

I won’t read too much into the F9 schedule if it’s not true since we don’t know... but if the Sept schedule is correct that looks like a significant increase in capacity across the board (comparing Sept YOY numbers, and ignoring August since right now they’ve only loaded the partial month)
