I don't get how the media got the 4hrs figure? A flight to BOM would ideally take about 1.5-2hrs. Unless, they flew past BOM across the Arabian Sea and then came back. :eek: Anyways, more than the pilots realising this, I wonder how any pax sitting at the centre back of the plane didn't feel this j...

Please check your spelling. Frlight, intened, atcually, gold, platic... But I believe you anyway. I stay away from the 787 because of its dimmable windows. Sometimes the sun can shine on your window for nine hours straight. For example when you fly from Seattle or Vancoucer to Europe during summer....

I really hope that QF takes legal action against the passenger in question of which the passenger should pay for any expenses occurred including fuel and hotel expenses that have arisen to the return to PER. That's a little harsh, given we do not yet know the circumstances that caused the passenger...

Wow, even more interesting! I had no idea PanAm flew TATL with an A310 in those days..you live and learn. They started flying the A310 transatlantic in late 1985, even with the -200 model. They had to take a VERY northern route because there was only ETOPS 60 or 90 - not sure - these days which too...

As long as it's not a god-knows-what- time departure. I've flown from Gatwick (around 9pm) and Stansted (around 1am!) and both are utterly painful. It's a fairly long flight (3 1/2 hours+) and arriving in Malta in the early hours means that if you're on, say, a 7 day package, you've effectively lost...
