Re: First 777-9 for Lufthansa rolls out of final assembly

I truly don't understand why people hate LH's new livery so much. It's modern, simplistic, and clean. Judging from renderings, it looks especially sharp on the 777-9. Can't wait to see this one painted.

What MAX Ban Means For Air Canada TATL

With Canada banning all 737 MAX 8 and 9 flights, what can we expect from Air Canada in terms of their transatlantic flights to Europe? Air Canada cancelled their 03/12 YHZ-LHR as well as their 03/13 YYT-LHR flights. A quick check of Air Canada's website shows that they're rerouting pax through Montr...

Re: Why is the 738 Preferred Over the A320 for TATL?

Well, there was Primera (that went bankrupt recently) that used A321NEO and there is WOW which flies to a lot of destinations in the US with A321s. Who is using the 737 on TATL anyway? OTOH, its only Norwegian at the moment I think? Currently Air Canada flies the 737 MAX 8 and WestJet operates the ...

Why is the 738 Preferred Over the A320 for TATL?

When we look at carriers that fly small narrowbodies transatlantic, the majority use the 737-800/Max 8 but I have yet to see any use the A320 or A320NEO. Both the 738 and A320 have similar ranges, cruise speed, pax capacity, etc. I know BA uses the A318 for the LCY-JFK route and a list of other airl...

Why No ULCC at YOW?

With two (and soon to be three) ultra low cost carriers now operating in Canada, I'm surprised to see that not a single one has started service to YOW. In an email I received from Canada Jetlines in 2017 after asking about any possible intentions on serving Ottawa they stated this: The cities curren...

Re: Air Canada Summer 2019 long-haul changes

What about YOW to LHR/FRA? Are those going to upgraded to 788s / A333s or downgraded to the MAXs once the 763 is finally retired?

Could Mirabel Once Again See Passenger Traffic?

With YUL running out of room to expand and some residents of Dorval and the West Island disapproving of reclaiming land for such expansions, could Mirabel see the return of passenger service? YUL is the third busiest airport in Canada and in my opinion could benefit from a second reliever airport. T...
