And again, United never flew in or out of C Concourse at Stapleton. So you said you worked at Stapleton. You joined the forum 12 years ago. Your profile says you are 18. And you expect people to believe you? Maybe because he has posted here for over a decade and is a known entity. Unlike some rando...Jump to post
I’m actually almost certain that UA did have its BAe146 ops out of C at the very end of the Stapleton days, after the the CO hub was shuttered, and just before DIA opened. I believe that they were towards the end of the concourse, maybe gates 26, 27. Can anyone else recall this? Okay, it took a lit...Jump to post
Winners for this week: EYW: 5 daily flights to CLT!!! (It’s about time). When is the mainline 737-700/A319 coming??? MSP: never seen this much growth from SY in one thread. JAN and SFB: not for gaining anything, but for being the only airports that could keep Via Air’s services. Losers for this wee...Jump to post

Laser usage is moronic, but it seems a little too coincidental that the co-pilot just happened to have a camera or phone handy to take the photo.Jump to post
AA is too large to let fail. They would go the bankruptcy route. If they were too big back in the 90's when Bill Clinton ordered striking pilots back to work, they are certainly much bigger and important to the economy, regardless of what a bad airline they are at the moment.Jump to post

I have not heard the 250-300 daily flights numbers before. Last I heard was around 200 flights. 200-225 seems pretty attainable with the "CANNABUS" joining the fleet and all the markets like DFW, DAL, IAH, MCI, STL, OMA, ABQ, and more that those aircraft can serve from SEA. The "cann...Jump to post
I love you folks but DFW is so much harder to connect in than ATL. DEN and DTW are probably the real dreams as US hubs go. I suppose compared to PHL, IAH or MSP, its easy. (just last week I went from low Ds to high Bs...4 stops on the train and a fair amount of walking....) How is it harder than AT...Jump to post
Kind of what they do at Heathrow. They use a Central Holding Area at 3 and 5 and have a big board which displays when the gate areas for your flight are open and what gate to go to. I'm struggling to imagine it, since unlike LHR or others, terminal C isn't that big. It is quite narrow (and even if ...Jump to post
I hope that the reason they pulled it down is due primarily to them adding an additional LHR-BOM daytime flight on a 789 which is using our a/c. A family friend was at a chamber of commerce type event recently and BNA CEO said that we were one of the top ten routes for BA by yield or something. Pul...Jump to post
WS could maybe add seasonal MSY and TPA sometime from YYC as PDX and AUS seems to be working out well. MSY not only for tourist purposes like BNA but energy and oil sector there like IAH. Why would they not go to PEK? HET is ~250 miles further west. FR24 shows it circling SW of PEK for a while. Seems odd they’d circle SW of PEK and then divert to HET got a mechanical. Not really. The weather in Beijing at that time was reportedly very bad. They chose HET probably at ATC request, for...Jump to post

I wonder when we’ll hear another air service announcement. Me too. It's been really quiet this spring. Hopefully! maybe the quiet before the storm of new routes is unleashed! Great video. I never knew WN's jet bridges were painted to match the aircraft.
In regards to the DL 747 ATL-DAL-SFO-ATL service, in a 1971 timetable, they had a ATL-DAL-LAX-ATL rotation as well.
That much only in three years is pretty small, they can still add more transborder routes that are profitable from YVR but for some reason the airport is really underserved for their transborder routes. Maybe AC should add more transborder routes like WS did in YYC and AC did in YUL and YYZ cause n...Jump to post
Saw YVR's INTL concourse expansion - how many more gates will that bring? The Seattle INTL expansion doesn't really add MANY gates - it just makes current domestic gates available *as* international from what I read. My employer has facilities East Sussex, UK. They've been lobbying AA for a return to LGW from DFW for years, so much to guarantee 'x' number of seats per day. AA balked and It's pretty obvious they has no desire to fly to any airport but Heathrow.Jump to post
With AA dropping the MEI-PIB market, that is cutting ORD-PIB thru service. Effective Sep 4, PIB will have DFW twice per day and MEI will have 1-DFW and 1-ORD daily. I suspected that would be the impact. The era of tags is long over. I was kinda surprised they went into MEI-PIB in the first place. I...Jump to post

It's already operated by LH as part of the JV. UA's only LAX tatl service is to LHR, where they have no partners to do it on their behalf. 2x daily flights on LH is enough for this route. Whilst FRA is a huge hub, the O/D traffic is limited. Not to mention LH Groups other LAX service, with its year...Jump to post

Yes a VS A330 3 weekly or a Delta 757 daily.
DL is making the big bucks so it's difficult to question their decisions. If it's working, don't fix it. One area that can be expanded is JFK-LHR and TATL. They're working on it with VS but I'd like to see more aggressivity from DL. BA is a sitting duck, time to make a move. Surely with all that BE...Jump to post
