Re: Comparing Programs: Tejas vs JF-17

Long time lurker here, giving my two cents. Pick the question: 1) Comparing JF-17 vs Tejas: One has operational fighters that work and only cost $25M each. The other is a (arguably) 30 year long money pit. What costs does the $25M include? Is it assembly or airframe minus avionics and engine or air...

Re: Airbus And Boeing 2018 Orders

I was wondering if there was an excel sheet or monthly numbers for older A320 orders since I couldn't find a way to access historical data (from 2008 to 2013) on their website. Apologies for going off topic, I need the sales data for my master's project. P47Tbolt Airbus gives historical full year o...

Re: Indian Air Force 707?

The Indian Air Force has (or had) atleast 2 ex Air-India 707s modified into special mission aircraft. They were used by the aviation wing of the Indian intelligence agency RAW. They have RC-135 like side looking radars and SIGINT gathering equipment. Not sure about the landing gear overhaul though. ...

Re: Emirates looking to Windowless planes [BBC]

The problem with the 787 windows is the crew locking them at the darkest setting while I want to look outside. People who complain about blinding the entire cabin during daytime longhaul flights should use sleeping masks. Or turn their screens brighter if the want to watch a movie. They don't have ...

The angle of this picture makes one think this 789 has a triple bogey MLG.

Re: Boeing 737MAX Production/Delivery Thread 2018

First 737 fuselage moved by road since 2012. (Unsure if MAX or NG) https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Degzp3NVMAAAQgd.jpg Are they going to stick to road movements or is this one of? Is the movement due to increase in production rate? Secondly, I don't know if this is off topic but do different 737 lines r...

Production Rates NB jets

Greetings, I am looking for information on how many production lines exist for the 737 family and their production rates, same for the A320. It would be great if I could get some information about the supply chains involved in sustaining these operations. I need the information for a Supply Chain re...
