Re: Canadian Regional Service VS United States Regional

Thank you all for the insight! That being said is YYC a nice airport? I've seen videos and dropped people off there but have never actually gone inside

Canadian Regional Service VS United States Regional

My home airport is KGTF in Montana, USA (population ~60,000) but my family and I always visit Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada (population~92,000). This got me thinking: what air service does Lethbridge (YQL) have? Upon looking it up, they offer flights to Calgary only, via Air Canada Express, and soon W...

Re: Decade since Delta's merger with Northwest

The reason that Delta doesn't celebrate northwest's heritage is that they began removing special liveries (other than SkyTeam) to try to begin a brand turnaround following the merger. You need to take a look at what Delta was to consumers 10 years ago. Delta had a horrible reputation as an airline....

Re: DL widebody updates at SEA

Except, without looking it up, DL execs have made statements to the extent. DL has been vocal about their FIS concerns. You can probably find some articles online. Ask yourself this question: can we trust everything that an airline publicly says, particularly this airline? Absolutely not. Actions s...

Re: DL widebody updates at SEA

I often wonder how DL does on its TPAC out of SEA. The fact that no routes have been upgauged in the years since they've been launched (save for HKG which was badly needed due to the operational issues the A332 had on the route), leads me to believe that demand has remained pretty stagnant. All oth...

Re: Skywest flying under their own livery ?

I've heard of instances where they wear their own livery in order to cover in case of things like mechanical problems. Example a united express flight has a maintenance issue but only an OO aircraft in delta colors is available but if more aircraft are painted in OO house colors it protects against ...

Re: Vaping device caused fire at DEN

Anyone else see the passenger slip? On a more serious note I can understand why the passengers ran; as mentioned before airports are sensitive places and people would be quick to assume a bomb or other terror related event, but TSA needs to maintain control regardless. However, those agents who stay...

The cities thy served from IAD were EAS cities, and the DOT picked another airline for service.

Oh gotcha. So do they no longer codeshare with UA?

Re: Delta C Series Predictions

So with all these E-Jets transferring to the main hubs what is the chance routes like SLC-GTF-SLC will see E175 service by 2020? GTF-MSP was upgraded to an a319 during the summers so perhaps this route would be upgraded as well?

Re: Future for Mountain West Region?

Wouldn't call the Dakotas as Mountain West, but ill give my two cents and thoughts. Last year was the third straight with decreased boardings. http://bismarcktribune.com/news/state-and-regional/north-dakota-airport-fliers-drop-for-third-straight-year-but/article_d102d754-47a8-58a0-b523-e2ecf8b52f3e...

Future for Mountain West Region?

As a Montana native, I'm curious as to how aviation might grow in the Mountain West Region at places like BZN, BIL, FCA, BOI, CYS etc. Will states like Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, and the Dakotas see any substantial growth in the upcoming years? I know my homebase airport has seen mainline service from...
