Airline seniority systems are complicated for those not in the industry.

If an entire fleet is parked, the company puts out a system-wise bid that most pilots can bid on. That reshuffles seniority on the remaining fleets and adds extra training events into the mix.

Wrong, as the PS is added to their total earnings on the W2. And taxes are paid on it. Added to the totals on the W2...yes. However, the IRS initially considers it a bonus and thus 25% is withheld. All wages, benefits, vacation and compensation are all subject to status quo. And again, DL will argue - successfully - that as profit sharing is not wages, benefits, vacation, nor regular compensation and has been variable in application, formulation, and amount, it will not fall under status quo....

Wrong. Peak efficiency is eastbound. The arrival rate peaks at 132 and that’s in triple visual east flow. I believe the highest departure rate is 118. I’ve always disliked the paint job after the merger with Airways. If you look close enough to the tail, there’s close to a dozen different colors...translation...this is one expensive livery. Wouldn’t surprise me if they made changes just to make it cheaper.

[DL] Pilots are unionized and was the only group who’s profit sharing wasn’t cut when all non-union employees had it cut. I'm sure there are DL pilots on here who can chime in to confirm, but didn't they negotiate to retain full (original formulas) profit sharing payout at the expense of other item...

Allegiant is a home-basing airline for their crews. They focus primarily on day trips. The big advantage to the company is practically zero hotel costs for their crews.

ATL had an unforecast TS about 2100-2200. Many flights airborne without alternate fuel. CHA got slammed with mainline Delta diversions.

I guess it makes sense from the aspect that it'd be taking the only mainline plane without AVOD and bringing it in line with the rest of the fleet. All mainline aircraft have AVOD via wifi at a minimum. This will bring seatback IFE to all mainline aircraft except the 88/90s. Once the latter retires...

Years ago I hit a flock of something around 18000’ going 320 knots. When I did the post-flight walk around, we had hits on both wings, both sides of the horizontal stab and ingestion in both motors.

Oh and that smell after the ingestion...
