Re: BA LHR-PHX Future

Will BA go twice daily to PHX? Last year they added 3x weekly for May and June, and this year they extended the extra 3x weekly from the end of March to October.

Congrats to PHL! It's exciting to see AA adding many new routes from PHL. I wonder which routes they will add next?

Looks like Air Canada Rouge flights to Montreal are doing well. Seasonal service next year will start in September and go through May.

Not bad considering 2015 had the Super Bowl boosting its numbers.

I am surprised they were up YOY, I hope AA is done shrinking PHX.

Re: Why is PHX underserved by long haul routes?

IF BA can make PHX work with a 744 with a Premium configuration( including 14 First seats) another airline with a large fortress European hub should be able to make something work with a 787, A330 or 772ER with a more Y seats and only 30 to 40 J class seats. As someone observed PHX has a population...

Re: Why is PHX underserved by long haul routes?

I think PHX is drastically underserved with long haul flights, especially compared to smaller cities that have more service such as SLC, AUS, and PDX. Phoenix is not a small City and should be able to support a few more flights.

Re: Phoenix Aviation Thread - 2018

Does anyone have an idea when PHX will release it's total passenger count for 2017, they seem to move pretty slow at releasing that information. DIA released their numbers within a few days of the new year. Hopefully it went up over last year. I doubt it will go up compared to 2016. AA still had a ...

I really like the LH yellow. I hope they don't take it away with this new livery.

Re: US Airline's Most Profitable Hubs

I think it is very hard to micro-compare hubs vs different airline. Even if you DID have good data which we do not. One thing I took at is capacity transitions. If AA DFW-TPA went from 8x to 10x (say), that tells me the planning team was pleased with the results on DFW-TPA recently. This gives you ...

Re: 2017 total passenger rankings for US large hub airports

Thanks for sharing. PHX has to have the most boring 40million. 737s and A320s with the occasional non AA/WN bird and the BA 747. Don't get me wrong, hometown airport, Love to see the numbers up. The scale of passenger flights in the US is amazing. That is moving a lot of people. I agree - that is t...

Re: Icelandair To Announce KEF-SFO

This has been covered many times, but the 787 isn't going to FI. They cancelled and sold them on in 2011, but for some reason they're still listed to FI on wikipedia or somewhere leading to this misunderstanding. FI only has 17 MAXs on order. Icelandair is still listed with one 787-8 on Boeing webs...

Re: Phoenix Aviation Thread - 2018

Since UA has a lounge in T2, which will be demolished, what do you all think will happen to it My understanding was that there was only 1 lounge space in the new T3S so if DL & UA both cohabitate in T3S, I'd see DL as being the one that wants the lounge more. I thought DL would stay in T3N, and...

Will the end of this codeshare affect any WS PHX flights because of less connections?
