Re: Raleigh/Durham Aviation Thread - 2019

So.. what’s left for RDU to go after? Domestic - PDX is all I can think of.. maybe a return to USVI (STT or STX).. maybe regional routes.. International is a different story but RDU does seem well served As far as the Delta focus city: Strong possibilities: Milwaukee and Memphis (both very strong f...

Re: PIT Update Discussion Thread - 2019

DL updated their May schedule for PIT recently. A few highlights regarding that: - ATL now a mix of MD88/MD90/B738/B739 - DTW all-RJ except for an RON which has been upgraded from an MD90 to a B739 - MSP all-RJ except for a B738 RON - LGA mostly E170/175 with some CRJ9s - Two of the five BOS flight...

Hello All, 2018 was an eventful year for Kansas City - First ever TATL service via Icelandair which saw great success (around 84% occupancy) - Further design changes to the new terminal project (an addition of gates from 35 to 39) - More delays and mishaps with the execution of the new terminal pro...

Re: RDU "Big" Announcement 1/15 - 10am

So that's going to be four carriers on RDU-BOS and on RDU-ORD. I wonder if Frontier will even start RDU-BOS. I can't see how BOS-RDU has enough traffic to sustain four carriers. RDU-CHI might make it on the basis of onward connections; BOS is not a logical or distance-efficient hub for domestic tra...

Other than a limited one-way option (ie. PIT-MDW-MSP), I don't know if their system is capable of that option.

A couple of observations on the domestic side: 1. Awesome to see DL continues to do very well to/from SLC. IMO an upgrade to an A320 or B738 for the summer could be very possible. 2. I would not rule out either of Alliance or McKinney. While McKinney would make more sense, Alliance May have an easier path to fruition.
