Here is the article mentioning PIT-MDT being dropped: http://triblive.com/local/allegheny/13885485-74/pittsburgh-international-airport-loses-service-to-harrisburg This I find to be the most interesting tidbit: Several other regional carriers that do not already operate at the airport have expressed ...Jump to post
VH004: Looks ok N462KC: Needs a touch of CCW, building in the background doesn't look upright JAL re-edit: Still looks a bit HIF, probably could lower the frame just a tad. I have to agree with the CCW rejection though, as annoying as it is being missed the first time. The building in the background...Jump to post
Here's a comparison of a GE powered 787 and and RR powered one. 5077209,5071175 The GEnx appears to have a lower number of fan bladed than the RR Trent 1000 but has a larger center spiral. The RR is also labeled on the side most of the time whereas the GE rarely is, but it depends on the airline som...Jump to post

Another interesting flight, this B763 that originated in Romania and flew in via Frankfurt Hahn last night. https://flightaware.com/live/flight/CMB300/history/20180717/1851Z/EDFH/KPIT I believe this might have been Omni Air. Omni is know to do military charters, so I imagine this was one of those. ...Jump to post
Has anyone every been on a Sermon flight? What's the experience like and how bumpy can it get up there? Not entirely sure if it was a Sermon flight or not, but my PHL-PIT flight Monday was capped at 8,000ft the entire flight due to weather in Southwestern PA. Before departure, the pilots told us th...Jump to post

I think DL would have a problem moving to the odd B or even A gates. I think there is a taxiway limitation with larger aircraft on those ramps. Since DL uses the 757 and 767 (on some subs), this would not work on these gates. Someone in the know about PIT may be able to confirm. It would be an issu...Jump to post
How easy was PIT for international connections back then? I have seen the customs area and one could take the escalator and get back to the main terminal. Is that how it used to work? Appreciate any insights. I worked in the International arrivals are during the heyday of US ops (FRA/CDG/LGW + Char...Jump to post
FTW has a paint facility which UA and a few other airlines have used in the past. I think the UA B788s are starting to come up on their first repaint cycle. Another UA B788, N45905, exited FTW yesterday after repaint according to the UA Fleet Status thread. So, with this repaint, are they maintaini...Jump to post

Huge boost to the program. Hopefully the domino theory begins to apply itself and more airlines follow with orders. I guess my flight on a B6 E190 this Friday will have a bit more value attached to it. There have been mentions that B6 also secured earlier slot deliveries for the A321neo. Any truth t...Jump to post
Are AA's flights still split up in Concourse B at BOS? Like are the L-US ops at B4-B19 still segregated from the L-AA ops in B30-B36? If they are, is there a plan in place yet to try and move their ops into a single area like Massport did for UA? Yes. Massport is well under way on an expansion proj...Jump to post
I totally agree with the notion that there is an illusion with this photo making whatever the couple were doing seem dangerous. I can see why an optical illusion like this could make a report mistaken. But to then claim that they were in "hot water" just based off of outrage from random Tw...Jump to post
Well... the AA A320 was rejected on appeal. "Blurry, Quality, and Underexposed" Here is the link once again. http://imgproc.airliners.net/photos/airliners/9/3/5/5065539.jpg?v=v49921bf5fda Not sure what could be done other than maybe the exposure. There was no indication of blurry in...Jump to post
I would let the Star Alliance 737 go. Quality seems poor with quite poor light as well. I will have removed it from my queue and will hopefully find a better image of it. Unfortunately, the lighting is something I have to deal with since the primary landing runway here that has way better lighting ...Jump to post
Thanks, Harry! AA A320 : I'll tend to agree with "Unerexposed" since i think it could be brighter. Sharpness seems not bad to me. BTW, it has colour issue for me. It looks kind of cyan/blue (Could be fixed easily). So the image still looks cyan? :scratchchin: I added +3 red in PS to cancel...Jump to post

WN would get more business from me if they installed power ports on their seats. The business case for it is weak since many of their flights are less than 3 hours long, but let's not forget the transcon flights...battery life can only last so long. In the meantime, the legacies are ahead if it mea...Jump to post
I actually think that it's the nose of the QF B738 that looks soft. The tail and rear fuselage look ok to me. I agree that the Scoot B788 needs more contrast. The Air Canada likely won't make it. Appears backlit and the entire underside of the fuselage has quite a bit of noise as well as haloing by ...Jump to post
They currently show both DL 763 flights arriving and departing on C60. I would expect a gate change on one of them prior to this afternoon. This would be a great photo opportunity. Two DL B763s are scheduled to arrive at the same time tomorrow afternoon. One for the CDG flight and the other is ferrying in from ATL... appears that an equipment swap at PIT will be taking place. Should be a good photo opportunity if anyone is interested.Jump to post
Ironically, didn't US have the previous record for the largest airplane order? They made a massive order of 400 A319/A320/A321s in 1996 just after their rebrand. As well as 30 A333s two years later.Jump to post
I had to help a family member of mine book a flight on WN PIT-LAX to connect onto AA LAX-PVG. Granted, it was the only option. I wonder if you could filter the PDEW numbers just for LAX itself and not just the entire LA/SoCal region. If that were possible I imagine those numbers would dip lower.
