Running out of BOB is silly and shows a lack of professionalism. By now EI should know route requirements and stock accordingly. It is not a case of a lack of space! They probably pack all trolleys with the same stock no matter the route!
And Aer Space is going to add to the problem
A glorious aircraft The pocket rocket Flew all over Europe on them with Aer Lingus, BCal, Ryanair and British Airways They were noisy but so fast. One of the best approaches was Zurich where a single approach was made to two runways and at the last minute a decision was made - straight in or a sharp...Jump to post
I have rarely, if ever, been delayed on an Aeroflot flight. Connections run smoothly even with difficult immigration procedures Its quite debatable to suggest that America is richer than Russia, or any where else. Russia does not run $B deficits and Russia does not owe $T. In fact Russia has almost ...Jump to post
Why does it always have to be the strongman of the state? Is it not possible that Utair is badly managed and does not have the revenue to cover asset and operational costs! For the record Aeroflot is a well run airline. Transaero was an intetesting airline but was also badly managed - it had at leas...Jump to post
I am a fan of EI and i have tried when ever possible to use EI. in the past it was possible to book different carriers for one stop or multi hop flights. That has become virtually impossible or where possible it is silly expensive. In my case that EI is not in an alliance is unhelpful EI is inconsis...Jump to post
Can't you say that about a lot of countries these days, beginning with number one? A lot of the turmoil in the world has been created by civilised countries trying to enforce their version of civilisation where local civilisations have existed for hundreds and thousands of years Aviation brings peop...Jump to post
I imagine there were some frustrated operations meetings in a number of 737Max operators Can't be easy to replace grounded aircraft not knowing the extent of the problem and the duration. Never a great dan of airports but nit sure how they be ragged to this unless they own the airline, which they do...Jump to post
How do EI propose to increase transatlantic services if they cannot operate the current schedule? If it is pilots surely that will be a continuing problem?
Am i right in thinking that both Air Baltic and TAP are returning to Dublin?
Definitely time for a Star Alliance lounge
For a change explain truthfully what happened and how the fix will work. There should be 10 Max8's made available for a months flying with the fix, at Boeing's expense but flown by customer crews I still f8nd it hard ti believe Boeing installed new software without highlighting the changw - almost s...Jump to post
Sloppily dressed crew are likely to be lax on procedures and rules too
Attention to detail usually follows through on all aspects of a persons life
A quick question This evening on the news the DAA were quick to blame the airlines for de-icing stating that it was 100% the responsibility of the airlines In most of the airports i have been during winter the de-icing equipment was owned by the airport and requested by the airline. In Vienna they g...Jump to post
Maybe not! Perhaps FR have made a difference LH goes from 5 daily to 4 daily with the summer schedule EI looks like going from 3 daily to 2 daily for the summer schedule A bit of a bummer on the LH loss - the cancelled rotation was a better fit for the evening connections as the 5.55pm departure is ...Jump to post
I am amazed at how many of you understand BREXIT! Any chance you could enlighten your Government, or probably more accurately the Conservative Party, who have turned a peoples request into a quagmire of alternate facts, misssmanagement and self interest BMI Regional never had a chance but they did r...Jump to post
God bless the unions It must be interesting tio own a company and have the unions run it for you. Though i am not sure your information is entirely accurate I belueve ASL use its own pilots and EI pilots were offerred the opportunity to second to ASL to operate the B757. I think you will find the it...Jump to post
What would Stobart do with its BA Cityflyer contract. Can't see BA using a mixed fleet at LCY and yes I do remember the Airbus
It would be a significant and expensive move by Stobart and won't happen unless it secures a decent extension from EI
But certainly interesting times ahead
Never mind that he was awarded €70k I am surprised that they took the action. I have no idea how EI could be seen as responsible unless the hot chccolate was poured over his head!!!! A sign of the times in Ireland, money is more important than anything else. The public service gas become the money g...Jump to post
I didn't suggest anything, just an observation!! I'm fully aware that we have tourists too I am more intrigued on the connecting numbets, especially where Iceland us involved. It seems unusual that they are increasing their flights with Norwegian direct flights Don't get your ninnies in a twist- it ...Jump to post
Yes The brand refresh is clean, simple and quite sharp. The teal works and for a change it is possible to see the shamrock clearly What is essential now is that EI themselves embrace the brand and it is used to its full potential - that is in every aspect of their operation. The more you view the ne...Jump to post
