Do not see how they can cut back on 'seat-back IFE, a long snack menu, good crew members (ground and flight), comfy seats, nice cabins' when their main competitor in BOS/NYC is Delta.

I agree that DL bully intruders at their 4 fortress hubs, but for BOS-HNL I think that is only a side reason. Its more likely an opportunist move. I cannot recall but didn’t BD fly MAN to the sub-continent?

I think EI would need to be significantly cheaper than the majority of the Asian carriers to make DUB-Asia work as EI quality is much lower.

A single stop route to AU/NZ that doesn't require going through a theocracy, a dictatorship, or both; or without the huge stage length of LHR-PER, would be great. DL are hyper aggressive when it comes to their fortress hubs. I doubt MSP can support 11x flights but I would expect DL to prevail and EI to redeploy to a easier route

DL is much better than EI in Y, even if they have slipped a bit since Covid

Sooner or later someone will call a halt to this madness. TG do not need 80 787.
Thailand is mostly a leisure destination and plenty will take a one-stop option to save money.
They will do well to hold what they have given all the new competition that is coming from airlines with much deeper pockets

The thing many posters in the past haven’t acknowledged is that the idea of just hand waving south cargo out of existence is akin to saying “Boston shouldn’t handle cargo, full stop” because literally every piece of freight that goes through Logan other than on UPS and DHL goes through South Cargo....

This is all about the soft product. No way they make any change to the hard product. It does no need doors to create a sense of privacy, but the UA soft product has been very bad. Makes sense they would improve this, as much much less $$ than fitting a new seat layout

If DL is looking to pick a fight at MSP, why not at their other hubs; LAX and SEA? Another hub that doesn't get mentioned is SLC. I'm sure there is potential there too. Not all hubs are equal. You can't do online check-in for international flights so you have to go to E no matter what. I always check in online for international flights, so that’s inaccurate. And it is a hike, but if E is packed full of very clueless, very heavy-packing tourists trying to navigate a smaller security check...
