Buffalo / BNIA should be interesting ..... Frontier has kind of stepped on their toes so to speak with all the Florida flights. Gotta wonder if WN responds with more flights or destinations.

Re: AA's position in NYC

AAs best bet in NYC (I hate to say it) is a purchase and merger with B6. Forget the other B6 pieces, just concentrate on planes and NYC slots. It would give AA a 270 departure hub from JFK, they would be a solid number 2 at LGA and they would have a presence in EWR and HPN. Short of that, they aren...

Re: Delta To Resume CMH-SLC, Confirms CMH TATL Interest

Does any one have the PDEW for BUF to SLC ? 56 PDEW, and it's VERY seasonal....usually in the 70s during the summer, and dipping down in the 20s during the winter. I wouldn't expect a BUF-SLC route any time soon - I think CMH is the last major add out east for SLC for a while. Unless Canadians love...

Re: What effect would a RNWY extension at OGG have

Of the top 5 unserved markets from SLC , Cleveland, Columbus, and Pittsburgh were added. Lihue and Buffalo remain, with Lihue's O/D demand being 51k/year. So there is a bigger demand for them to add Lihue, but Kona seems fairly plausible as a future add. HIGHLY doubt Buffalo will get service to SLC...

Re: What effect would a RNWY extension at OGG have

DL flies OGG-SLC seasonally with a 763. The resumption was recent, I think last year or the year before. The largest gap in SLC-HI is Lihue, which is going to be added for winter of 2019-2020 based on somebody I know who works in widebody ops for SLC. I’m suprised SLC-LIH would be added before SLC-...

Agree that EGO is the only reason why the 380 program is still around. Don't agree with this 100% - EK needs the A380 and if Airbus doesn't supply it, the nearest suitable aircraft is the B748. EK's success (albeit flat recently) with the A380 is entirely dependent on DXB's location and EK's scissor-hub strategy. If you don't have all three factors in your business model (A380, DXB, and scissor-hub strategy), you have no need for 100+ A380s, or any new A380s. That's why only STC wants mor...
