Re: Aviation related jobs!

You look into laser correction for your eyes? Yes, some years ago I was thinking about it. But over time I've been more interested of the jobs "below the wing". :) Twister, flight dispatcher sounds awesome! It is one of my top opportunities. I just don't know what it take to become a disp...

Aviation related jobs!

I can't become a pilot since I have problems with vision so I've been looking for some alternative careers for a long time. There are sure plenty of more or less aviation related jobs I didn't even know existed - and I'd be very happy to hear about them. Only criterion is that the job wouldn't invol...

What do you think is not right/needs improving in airline policies?

Sorry that long title but it tells everything. ;-) is there anything that makes you annoyed about how airlines act or do not act? Any particular airline for example, and why?
I am doing a study about this and would be nice to have some different opinions in it, too.

Re: When did you fly on your first 737 and A320?

My 4 first flights were on A320 and therefore it is also a honourable plane for me. The very first flight was actually on A321 but I consider it almost as the same. But my first flight on the 737 was only after many flights on A320, 757, ATR-72 and B717.

The best/worst looking airliner?

What do you think is the best and worst looking commercial aircraft? Please tell also why! I'll start with the B777-300ER. The big forehead and overall sharp look are so appealing, as well as the huge engines and six wheeled main landing gears. The entire aircraft has a sturdy and sexy look. :P My a...

Re: Female ramp agents

Follow your heart Rose. If you want to work on the ramp, then that is where you should aim. Where I work, Canada, gender discrimination is illegal. We have a lot of women working on the ramp. As am not on the ramp myself, I don't know how they are treated .... but if you love airports, airlines, ai...

Re: Female ramp agents

Yeah, I know it - and my condition wouldn't even be adequent at the moment. That's why I am training. :)
And if the job isn't the right for me in the end, I've some other choices in the airline industry too.

Re: Female ramp agents

JetBuddy: I am from Finland. :) Thanks for the replies! Yes, it is sure a very tough and stressful job. It still feels so right for me, because I love planes, physical exercise and being outside. I've also considered flight attendant or gate agent jobs, but I am not that interested in customer servi...

Female ramp agents

I'm new on the forum and not sure if my thread is in the right place. But anyway, I've wanted to be a ramp agent for many, many years now. I am not even 18 yet and I still have to study, but I've been training hard to be physically fit and so on. Only thing that concerns me is that I haven't seen an...
