Re: A310 - too early?

Loved the A310, quite similar what Dampfnudel said, I flew on it with LH, when visiting my folks in NJ a couple of times. (EWR/JFK). I'd wager a guess that bringing it up to today's performance/economics targets, requires something close to a clean sheet though.

Re: WTO issues appeal decision on Boeing complaint against Airbus subsidies

Facebook hate emoji dropper has a (wet) field day...jeez let's have a monopoly so that those pesky Airbi will falter for good... The whole situation does come across like this a giant catch 22 - no one wins - and from the gammut of info available it does seem that Boeing is indeed sitting in a glass...

Re: LH Group Introduces New Intra-Europe Seats

Just an FYI, the premium exit row seats (along with the first 3 rows) on Frontier, do recline. It's a small somewhat hidden red lever located below the seat. Ah interesting I tried to look out if there was anything but I had not found this, thank you jetspeed219 for pointing out. :) Their seat howe...

Re: LH Group Introduces New Intra-Europe Seats

I've "recently" experienced that on a Frontier flight from LAS to MCO and sat in exit row (aisle) on their non reclining, pretty incommodius seats. I have to agree with the ones in favor of non reclining ones for the majortiy of "short" flights. Being 6.5', I welcome this introdu...

Since other Enders/CEO-related threads were merged here, I'll post here. Reuters ( https://www.reuters.com/article/us-airbus-chairman/ex-deutsche-telekom-boss-favourite-to-be-next-airbus-chairman-report-idUSKBN1H32JK ) gives us: Former Deutsche Telekom (DTEGn.DE) chief executive Rene Obermann is th...

Re: I love/hate the Boeing 777

I wouldn't make that distinction since it's mostly up to the airlines how to configure it. Has a great track record as an airliner, although being dubbed a bit on the noisy side cabin level wise. If I was to go on it, I'd try to get on premium eco or an exit row due to my height. So on SWISS which w...

Re: LH introduces revised livery

Looked clean and to the point when I arrived yesterday on LH463 back from my US trip. And she sat right next to our gate when we pulled into it. I somewhat get the design concept but maybe adding the crane to the engine cowlings could/would be a nice and fitting addition. http://farm5.staticflickr.c...

Re: Reuters:Airbus ready to phase out A380 if fails to win Emirates deal

Don't know if you're serious or joking when bunching the A350 with the 787 and 777. There is exactly one airline (Air Caraibes) that is cramming people in the A350 whereas there is exactly one airline that is NOT cramming people in the 787. The 777 is not much better nowadays with the avalanche of ...

Speaking strictly in terms of passenger experience, personal comfort, cabin noise level (lack thereof i.e noise) from my own history in Y/Y+ as a 6.5‘ tall guy. The gammut of less favorable reviews on the lauded 9 abreast 787 and 10 abreast triple7 on a number of platforms speak for themselves imho....

I concur - not modern or contemporary at all. Ever since I consciously stepped onboard an aircraft - at an early age of 3/4 in the 70ies, I was amused to witness "the shampoo fachverkäuferinnen (salon grade shampoo retail experts) roadtrip", clapping glady away after touchdown. I personall...

While having a young fleet, somewhat decent pitch and a couple of attractive routes (predominantly Germany/Spain) I'd personally be interested in trying out, MoL's blowhard conduct and all too obvious charade around this bidding process for AB, is a stark reminder why I don't like people of his ilk ...
