Re: Can somebody explain the Boeing NMA to me?

You have to look beyond seating capacity - think range as well. The 787 has twice the range of the 757, so it’s hardly a replacement for it. The NMA would/will be more of a direct replacement wrt similar range and capacity. Can you elaborate? If the 78 has twice the range of the 75, and similar sea...

Yeah, I know they've gone back to the drawing board. Still, I don't get it. Unless they're going to basically replicate the 753 and 86 the 739/10, there is no need for a NMA.

Just for the sake of discussion. Anything out there with a flight deck that's particularly interesting to you? As well designed as they are, a lot of modern glass cockpit designs are fairly similar - I think it's fun to look back at some of the more obscure stuff, like this Tu-214. It's very clean a...

For those who have flown them - we are talking anything from regional jets to the mighty 747. Right now, Boeing is wishing they never discontinued the 753. Just because it didn't sell at the time doesn't mean it was obsolete... they are now spending billions developing a replacement. As for the 767, not sure why you're calling that a failure. Been flying for 37 years and production hasn't ce...

What would it be?
Only qualification is that it must not be in service by any commercial airline. Cargo operators do not count.

Tough choice for me, but I'd have to say the Boeing 314. Imagine the experience that must have been in the day.
