This just seems like AS whining about it so they make it easier/convince themselves to stick to all Boeing. Easier? They own the airline, they can fly whatever they want without having to convince you and I of its merits. Calm down, it just makes sense that AS is an older Boeing customer so they're...Jump to post
Lots of rumors with little info, so I'll believe it when I see it out of the horse's mouth.
That being said, I would love to see them pick up the C-Series. IF however they go the E2 route, I would hope it would be the E195-E2 and not the E190-E2.
Rest In Peace to the victim. At least, although hoping these are very few, air safety will grow significantly safer each time this happens. What’s the reasoning behind changing the registration number? Same as changing the flight number? Yep, they don't want it associated with this accident. In the...Jump to post
Rest In Peace to the victim. At least, although hoping these are very few, air safety will grow significantly safer each time this happens. RIP. Comparing it to the overrun at MDW the flight number will definitely be retired and if the plane isn't written off the tail number will be changed. What’s...Jump to post

Or maybe those words are true?
Fanboy attitude makes you loose objectivity.
Even so I've seen plenty of LUS A321's operating non LUS routes out of DFW and I've seen plenty of LAA 737's operating non LAA routes out of CLT.Jump to post
I give them a couple of years at most before they are bought out by someone or they cease operations and WN or AS picks up their 737's.Jump to post
Currently have about three home airports:
BDL: BNA, PHX, SEA, JFK
HVN: Currently only AA service to PHL, so anything really, preferably ORD or DCA
DAB: Currently only AA to CLT, DL to ATL, and B6 to JFK. Really anything, preferably DCA, MIA, DFW, and ORD.
Usually all the time, most notable was flying to MCO for the day to get a US Airways 737-400 and 767-200ER. Went through DFW on purpose a few times to get a couple of MD80's. Have also routed myself AAA-ATL-DTW-BBB on purpose to get Delta's domestic 767-300 a couple of times.Jump to post
I'm all for and support stricter requirements on carry-on's, but they should really stop charging for a first checked bag.Jump to post
The great thing about IAD for B6 would be the opportunity to build a connecting hub, allowing JFK and BOS to be O&D centric. The issue is that they are big/have a small focus city out of DCA. They would either have to move that traffic over or hope that the additional traffic at IAD wouldn't he...Jump to post
Maurice J Gallagher Jr (Current CEO of Allegiant) needs to be banned from running an airline for his stint in the downing of ValuJet flight 592. Allegiant is fine if you want to fly to Middle of Nowhere USA on a Tuesday or Saturday morning. Otherwise NK or F9 are your best bet. That being said, here...Jump to post
Folks, stranger things have happened. While I believe the probability of staying with airbus is quite high, I’d love for them to pick up 737’s on their next order. The 737-10MAX could make a lot of sense for them. Why...Just why? That would be like choosing a 65 year old woman with tons of plastic ...Jump to post
Good, it was time to move on anyway, I always thought Delta was wrong but at least they know when enough is enough.
Now if only UA & AA will follow suit.
Good for Alaska, I'm getting tired of anything and everything negative related to air transportation being picked up by the media, although positive experiences don't make for good news I guess.Jump to post
Smisek made mistakes no doubt and labor hated him, but he did some good things as well. Oscar is great, but his greatness is mucked up by Kirby's shenanigans behind the scenes. The sooner UA's BOD dumps Kirby the better for everyone. Many at AA celebrated when Kirby left. I wonder if UA lets him dr...Jump to post
Cabotage is an outdated source of limiting competition. Here in the US for example, we have no national air carrier to protect. We allow foreign electronic, almost all transportation, food, beverage, oil, home products, furniture, and appliance companies to sell here, why should airlines be treated ...Jump to post
I don't understand the mindset of this forum. A couple of Flight Attendants get fired for watching videos on their tablets during a flight, win a lawsuit for wrongful termination, and forum members go crazy. The mindset being "they deserved to lose their jobs and I hope the airline wins the ca...Jump to post

I'm curious why UA is alone in the fact that the employees take it out on the customers. It's not my fault that management is awful. Compare this to AA, NK, B6, and AS/VX where certain if not all employee groups at those airlines all have a beef with management but still remain professional and cou...Jump to post
Great pics, glad to see this is finally moving forward. Curious over the choice though, N646JB was my last flown A320 and it was one of the nicer A320 cabins in the fleet, many older birds that are more tired than this one. N646JB was due for a C6 HMV where the entire interior would be gutted anywa...Jump to post

Which is funny, considering AA is the worst at "free seat assignments", even if you don't purchase a basic economy fare. Another DUI Dougie classic.Jump to post
As I said earlier, Alaska is concentrated on more West Coast and intra California flying. Not a good long term strategy. WN is already king of intra California flying and more and more airlines are adding additional west coast flying on top of their already large national network. This is just AS p...Jump to post
Rookie87, no one is saying that there aren't awesome FAs, gate agents, etc., because there are. My last United flight in November had a whole cabin crew full of them! The gate and check in staffers were similarly super. It just seems like more and more we're seeing folks whose job it is to make fly...Jump to post

Safety/security related instructions are the only things you should listen to. "Service or airline ancillary" related instructions should be ignored. No "service or Airline ancillary" instructions should not be ignored. Those instructions are there for a reason. Also your flying...Jump to post
There's not much of the silver livery still around, but quite a bit of the blue & white livery is still around with many of the A320's. Also interesting to note most if not all of the A320's feature the spaceflex interior, with most of the rows being the older style seats while the last 3-4 rows...Jump to post
He might make the shareholders rich, but he sure as hell has no idea how to delivery a consistent, quality product. What a joke. His job is to make money for the company's owners. And despite your unsubstantiated claim, AA has a consistent and high quality product, both mainline and regional. If yo...Jump to post
Sending the dog to STL, OKC, DEN, ORD, MSY etc is a mistake. Sending the dog to NRT is just pure negligence. Coincidently, I just spoke to a Pet Forwarder I work with, who actually told me about the incident before it reached mainstream news. I was told that it was the pet boarding company that mis...Jump to post
