I've noticed in Syracuse F9 uses a set of stairs to board passengers from the rear of the plane as well. Is this a normal thing for F9? Do they do this in other cities? It'll be interesting come winter with the lake effect this area gets if they continue to board this way when the snow flies. https...

It's a perfect little plane for Cape Air. Standard 32in. pitch in a plane that small will be wonderful addition for their customers and it looks like the baggage compartment will allow them to carry everyone's luggage as well.

SYR-DEN/RDU/ORD all gone after November in the schedule update. They just started SYR-DEN/RDU and they haven't even started SYR-ORD and they've already been discontinued.

Although it is a larger airplane the increased efficiency overall should allow B6 to try smaller routes it otherwise wouldn't even think about before. Here's hoping SYR gets a few more routes!

How does F9 find the gate space for all these DEN flights even if only 2x/week for a lot of them with only 8 gates? They use a lot of the common use gates as well, especially for the late evening and early morning departures, when other airlines (primarily B6 and the international carriers) aren't ...

I've got a feeling F9 will be flying SYR to AUS before DL ever considers it. SYR had service to DFW a while back with AA but that was short lived. SYR, ALB, ROC needs somebody with a direct to Texas.

I myself live in SYR and always fly out of there cause I don't drive and getting to the other airports w/out a car can be a problem and if you're going to a place like NYC driving to another airport destroys any time advantage plus some of the cost difference. I do believe SYR's outlook has improve...

The following routes were served fall 2008-spring 2009 then cancelled: BUF-DFW SYR-FLL SYR-DFW Two out of the three of those routes have been restarted (or are planned to restart). The only route left is SYR-DFW, hopefully that route will start back up as well. I see SYR-DFW restarting by this time...

In know that in SYR DL has a gate that they use mostly for RON's but is occasionally used for diversions. UA doesn't have that problem as they use a covered ramp for the 3rd plane they overnight while the other 2 flights use the normal gates. AA mixes up it's flights as far as gate usage to even th...

Syracuse updated their non-stop destinations map to reflect the new Frontier service. The map also has a few places pinned with a red flag that the airport is actively trying to get service to.

As far as SYR summer schedules go UAEX has phased out the Dash-8's so they're all jet now and AA is using more E-170's from ORD and PHL. Also Frontier will start serving SYR in the middle of the summer and I think they'll be using gate 1 in the south concourse. BTW I was there today the most of the...

Looks like it slid off at like 1 MPH or less. Pilots were probably like "well...shit" after they stopped. Then everyone just went out the airstair in the back and lived happily ever after.

Does anyone know what gate at SYR Frontier is planning to use? I'm guessing that they're going to be using Gate 12 since it's empty all day until that Jetblue flight from BOS comes in at like 2300 to RON until 0530. Syracuse Airport Authority is supposedly going to be having a meeting next week with another new carrier.

What's left? All I can think of for domestic is AS, WN and NK. Maybe, possibly DY for new international service but I'd pick one of the other 3 before I'd ever expect DY.
