This should also be the time to simplify. QF no longer needs jumbos, and so they could do 737 (A320 at Jetstar and QantasLink), A330/A350 (one pilot group) and 787. The A330 stays since it shares a type rating with the A350. That would mean writing off the A380s. The real question might actually be...

LAX, JFK, SFO, FRA, MUC, and LHR are more profitable than the 3 US routes I mentioned so they need 77Ws too. I assume that ORD, IAH, and IAD will become 789 routes if NH is retiring 13 777-300ER's? Why? They still have 15 77Ws. It may be that the routes that go to Haneda remain with Boeing 777-300E...
