I called it. The DTW folks kept saying KE would go into DTW rather than DL adding MSP and KE adding BOS. Yet here we are. It's rather good to see some connecting traffic taken away from DTW. Solid add for KE and I'm positive it'll go daily in short order. It was usually some of the local crazies. O...Jump to post
Just when I thought nothing could top the cringeworthiness of DL's safety video that referenced all those viral internet videos, along comes this. I'd rather put my ears through a cheese grater than repeatedly hear that voice.Jump to post
The "rotunda" area in the Center A and Concourse C Skyclubs are currently undergoing a renovation that states "new food serving areas coming soon" Anyone know what they are doing to the Skyclubs? They aren't doing a full club reno, are they? Are they keeping self-serve or puttin...Jump to post
Highly unlikely. Supporting a sponsor in a city with a population no more than 250,000 and you can get to/from AMS in an hour anyways versus one of Europe's major connecting hubs where you happen to have an alliance partner (KL) being the dominant carrier to easily fill your flight (AM). By that log...Jump to post
Say it ain't so. I love how LH's livery is so practical and straight forward with such an iconic logo. How quintessentially German!
IF they do anything so dramatic with rebranding themselves, I pray they don't do anything as dramatic as AA.
Anything currently served by a 330 (e.g. anything to/from AMS) is more or less a given. What I'd be interested is for some of the routes currently served by a 76W/764 such as STR. That is of course if they are indeed replacing the 767s but I'd wait to see what happens with the MoM project from Boein...Jump to post
Have any routes been announced from KE for the CSeries? I'm wanting to guess it will be some secondary markets in Japan and/or China.Jump to post
I can easily roast some of the trolls living in my hometown, but in all seriousness you really begin to notice the demographics of where you live when you find yourself at Disneyworld and nearly every other person you see is wearing a U of M or MSU sweatshirt. Yes I can't stand going to MCO for that...Jump to post
While the 777 isn't common here in DTW, it has made several appearances here from DL. I don't recall a CDG flight being flown by one (save for the upcoming AF 772 in February / March if memory serves me right). but everything else such as all the Asia flights and AMS do ring a bell in my head. Even ...Jump to post
The side view does make the winglet look a little funky, but overall I like it. I agree in that the engines look much better proportioned than previously.Jump to post

The DL 350's are being assembled at a good clip. It looks like parts for DL #7 should be arriving in TLS reasonably soon, and the first one was delivered only a month ago! what about DL #3? It's at the delivery center....saw it in a recent pic today posted in A320neo thread wow, that's awesome. Glad...Jump to post
Putting aside the obvious of longer lines, I really don't want people who aren't even going to be on my flight harassing the gate agent(s) on something that has absolutely no effect to them. They already have enough crap on their plates to try and get the flight out on time, if not early. This can p...Jump to post
DTW, my home airport SAN on AS AMS on KL (I yearn for that blue plane over my backyard like my childhood summers) PDX at a more reasonable time than the evening from DL DTW-EYW (finally, a direct option to Florida that isn't full of kids) DTW-ANC resumption DTW-KIX DTW-HKG DTW-STR on DL (this one se...Jump to post
AWACSooner wrote:So will it take 6 months to fly from DOH to CPT on a DL MD-88? And is the promotion double SkyPesos for this routing?
Perhaps a little more exposure in Australia / New Zealand, but some of the destinations in North America you mentioned are questionable at best.Jump to post
I get a bit amused hearing the barking dog when flying on a baby bus. Last time I was on an A320, it was going to DCA and I was seated next to this lady with her small dog (yorkie I think). The instant that noise came, it was immediately followed by the dog for the whole time we were taxiing to the ...Jump to post

Well for the groom, he would've been in prison either way.
This seems like something from a slapstick comedy. I showed it to a friend of mine originally from Bangladesh. The poor man was howling he was laughing so hard!
Such a real joke why is Delta so afraid of adding capacity in the Detroit market. Once again by reducing frequency they make Detroit a less attractive market to make connections as there will be fewer flight options. This DL hates DTW talk is delusional, Detroit is Delta's second-largest hub by dai...Jump to post
I have to give credit to RJ. My daughter just bought a ticket to Greece on them in March for $503. DL and LH are within ten dollars of each other at $1338. They really act as an oligopoly to Europe from DTW. Options from Windsor are $1020 US. Impressive. I've heard horror stories of customer servic...Jump to post
^ FRA is normally a 332 in the summer. I wouldn't be surprised to see the 350 in AMS, but I'm not holding my breath over it. Yeah they started that last year, and continued it this year. Next summer as of now, it shows FRA at a 764 which makes me wonder, if the 332 being used gets shifted to AMS an...Jump to post
For a moment I forgot that QF revamped their livery again since the A380.

Congrats YYZ! I'm hoping DTW gets the AF 789 sometime reasonably soon. Between that and them getting their baggage situation improved in CDG, then I might actually consider trying them.Jump to post
ATL SNA, would this be the first A321 @ SNA? I think so. I've heard at least one person say even a 762/763 has made an appearance in SNA many many years ago, but to this day I'm convinced they had a case of dyslexia and said SAN (San Diego) instead. Now trying not to derail this thread, I'm curious...Jump to post
Good report. I too will miss the 744s. As for customs I do agree that there's a lot of wasted space in there where CBP could really revamp the ropes to make it more efficient. I really hate how both sides now merge directly in front of global entry so those poor agents have to play traffic cop betwe...Jump to post
Any likelihood these 321neos will be deployed to places like Pago Pago and potentially make those places daily? Seems like an interesting concept. It appears that HA expects the 321N to allow them to operate from Non-HNL to Mainland flights daily, year-round profitably. I believe the PPG and PPT fl...Jump to post
I see nothing wrong with a polo/jeans clothed toe shoes when flying NRSA. You are representing the airline which is allowing you to use a travel benefit. At least show respect for the company, even if you can't respect yourself and wear whatever you choose. Just because an airline says you can wear...Jump to post
Great news, but why not the A350 instead of 777? Perhaps operational simplicity? They need the 77L at ATL to operate to JNB (and they currently also use them for ATL-NRT, ATL-ICN, and to rotate to LAX-SYD). The 359 will initially be based out of DTW, so maybe DL will focus on fully deploying it on ...Jump to post

It's only 4 RTs total. I would guess it's a stick in the eye to DY.
