Talking out of ignorance here, but SEA/TPE have a combined population of 11-ish million people (Taiwan itself has 24 mill); wealthy populations; tech-centered economies. Isn't it sufficient for 4 carriers to cover the route? that's just O&D markets.

Going through immigration, baggage claim, customs, recheck, and security is usually an awful passenger experience. Even if that's not the real deal - I kinda like it. Red, orange, grey, the suit well together and the tail looks modern. Just shrink the big letters and put them away from the windows. All in all it does look Indian to me.

I don't because it has a distinctive taste which I rather avoid, but it's perfectly safe (this coming from a 3WC). It's great though when doing work out outdoors in the hot southern summers, reminds me of my childhood. At home and work I drink filtered water.

Indeed. I think people with such requirements should adapt to the situation and sourrounding instead of the other way around, when possible, as is the case of allergies. If the kid is so sensitive, maybe they should have avoided flying.

Well, the article states that the intention is to replicate Emirates or Qatar's model, so it'd be using CAI as a hub. But with both of those plus TK and Euro companies doing the same with established reputation... I dunno, maybe sell it as a budget airline? like many using BOA for flights to MIA.

US operations went from global peer to peer to asymetric warfare and now aiming at P2P again, just more localized. I can see a thread in 10/15 years blaming on the USAF for getting rid of the A-10s. It's overreliance on the F-35 and the can-do-all attitude seems a bit dire.

AR last flew EZE SYD on A343 so it's not quite on par with LON-SYD and such. It should be achievable with current metal, but maybe not very economical without the classic AKL stop. Oh how I wished that flight returned :cloudnine:
