Re: Cabin noise ATR72-500 vs 600

Anecdotally, a brand new 600 rolling out the factory probably is quieter than a 15/20 year old 500 that had its insides gutted several times over and engines and props slightly out of balance over time. Having said that, I haven’t noticed any major cabin noise difference between a 500 and a 600. In...

Cabin noise ATR72-500 vs 600

Hi everyone, I've read that the cabin of the ATR72-500 was quite noisy during flights. In 2007, when ATR launched the -600 series, they apparently made improvements to reduce cabin noise and introduced better seats. For those of you who have flown both the 500 and 600 series (I haven't), did you not...

Canadian Wildfires what firefighters aircrafts

Hi guys,

Does anyone have an Idea of what type of water bombing aircrafts are currently in use over the Canadian Wildfires?

I Guess some dash 8 + CL 415.

But IS there some B737-300 from Cousin for instance?

Many thanks

Q400 / short runways capability

Hi guys,

I was wondering if the Dash 8-400 (Q400) is a relatively STOL aircraft.

For instance does the Q400 is capable from a 1050m (3444 FT) runway at sea level with classic weather conditions (25 celsius, no wind)?

If yes, would there be any pax limitations?

Thanks for your feedbacks.
